Conflict (冲突) happens when two people disagree because of their own opinions, or beliefs(信仰). It's not always as simple as an argument.
Parents and teenagers have many chances to have conflict with one another. Adolescence (青春期) is a time when independence and parental influence fight, since teens are able to think on their own but still live with parents who have rules and expectations for them. When kids don't show up at home late at night, their parents get worried. A worried parent becomes a scolding parent. When the teen does come home, he/she will get punishment(惩罚).
Sometimes, teens want to have noisy fun while their parents want to sleep. This is a common conflict that happens every day. Parents might use the teenager's grades to judge (判断) him/her every time the grades are reported. The conflict happens when the parents' expectations aren't met. Finding the causes of conflicts is the first step to solve the conflict. Here are a few tips for parents and teenagers to use.
View each other as friends in the common goals(目标)you agree on, which usually include keeping teens safe and seeing them be successful.
List(列举)possible solutions to the conflict together. Just start listing creative ideas, whether they seem reasonable or not. Creativity is your friend when you're solving any problems in life, including conflicts with others.
Kenya, a country in East Africa, is a land of natural beauty.
Kenya is along the equator on Africa's east coast (海岸). The Indian Ocean is to the east of Kenya. Highlands rise in the western part of Kenya. Mount Kenya, at 5,199 meters, is Kenya's highest mountain. In the east of the highlands, the land goes down toward the coast.
Kenya's most important river, the Tana, starts from the highlands to the Indian Ocean. Most of the country's other rivers are short and shallow(窄的). They sometimes dry up when there is little rainfall.
Kenya has two wet seasons and two dry seasons. Rainfall is usually heavy from April to May and from November to December, while some areas are more cloudy without much rain between July and August and from January to March. It is warmer in the north and cooler in the highlands.
Kenya is home to many national parks. Green trees and bamboo grow in the highlands. The country has many animals, such as elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras and many other rare(稀有的)animals. Kenya has more than 50 national parks. Inside the parks, the wild animals are protected from shooting. They can live a happy life there. Natural beauty and wild animals make the parks excellent places to take a journey. So many tourists take a journey there every year.
In the past 10 years, recreational vehicles, or RVs(房车), have become more and more popular in China.

After buying the RV, she no longer needed to prepare sleeping bags for trips. "Life on the road is always full of surprises, difficulties and joy. Children can see plants they learn about from picture books, and become braver in trying new things," Lu said.

Late last year, 11-year-old Jude Kofie got an unexpected gift, a 15,000-dollar piano from a stranger. It sounds unbelievable, right? This is how the story began.
One day, Jude's father, Isaiah, heard a noise coming from the basement(地下室). Then he found Jude playing the old electronic keyboard(电子琴) there. And to Isaiah's surprise, the boy played it well. "It's a miracle(奇迹) because no one taught Jude how to play," Isaiah thought. After checking many times, he found that Jude could play any song he heard. Then he realized that Jude was talented in music. The happy father shared a video of Jude playing the keyboard on the Internet. Soon it became popular.
Bill Magnusson , a piano tuner (调音师), read the story about Jude online and heard him play. He learned that Jude's parents came from Ghana and were raising four children. They lived a hard life, so they couldn't buy a piano for Jude.
"This boy is a talent. I need to do something to help him," Magnusson thought. Then Magnusson bought the piano for Jude and promised to tune it once a month for the rest of his life. He's also paying for Jude to get piano lessons.
Jude was very excited when he saw the piano in his house. The Kofie family was very thankful for Bill's help.
