It's easy to ride a bike, and there is no pollution when you are riding. But in countries, most people don't go to work by bike because they wouldn't like to spend more time and feel tired.
These days in England, kind of solar-powered bike—Cycle Sol is becoming more and more popular. On the one hand, people who ride it may not feel .On the other hand, it's good for the earth.
The bright yellow Cycle Sol looks like a bike it runs fast. Its motor runs on a solar energy battery (电池). It's charged (充电的) the help of a canopy lined with solar battery overhead. It can be charged in the day, even when the sky is cloudy. You can leave it the office during the day. And if it rains, the canopy will keep you dry. Isn't it wonderful?
Mr. White worked in an office in London, but he lived in the country and came to work by train every day. The 1 was not very far from his office, and Mr. White always went to the station on foot after work, because he liked walking. Every evening he passed a(an) 2 man near a bridge. The man sat at the side of the road and sold pencils with an old dog near him. There was a small board around the dog's 3 , and it said, "I'm blind."
Mr. White was a kind man. He 4 stopped, said a few kind words to the man, and gave him a little money, but he did not take any of his pencils.
One day, Mr. White had a lot of work to do and 5 his office at ten to six. His train was at five past six. There was only fifteen minutes for him. So he walked 6 . When he went past the man and his dog, he did not stop. He walked quickly towards the railway station. But the man 7 quickly, ran after him and said, "You didn't give 8 anything today. You're always very kind to me. Give me a little money today, too." Mr. White was very 9 and stopped. Then he said, "You're a blind man. How can you 10 me?" The man said, "No, I'm not blind. My old dog is! That's why the board is on its neck."
Do you like going into the forest? If you go into the forest with friends, you'd better stay with them. If you get lost, maybe the following ways will help you.
Sit down and stay where you are. Don't try to find your friends—let them find you by staying in one place. There is another way to help your friends or other people to find you. You can shout or whistle (吹口哨) three times. Stop. Then shout or whistle three times again. Any signal (信号) given three times is a call for help.
You should always keep shouting or whistling three times together. When people hear you, they will know that you are not just making a noise for fun. They will let you know that they have heard your signal. They will give you two shouts or two whistles. When a signal is given twice, it is an answer to a call for help. If you don't think that you will get help before night comes, try to make a little house with branches (树枝). Make yourself a bed with leaves and grass.
When you need some water, you have to leave your little branch house to look for it. Don't just walk away. Pick off small branches and drop them as you walk in order to go back again easily. When you are lost, the most important thing to do is to stay in one place.
Email is one of the most important ways through which we communicate. It has become part of everyone's day-to-day life. Writing a good email is very important for us. Today we will answer the question, "How can I make my emails better?" Emails are made up of four different parts: the subject line, the opening, the body, the closing.
Let us discuss how to make each of these parts better.
*Subject line
The subject line is what the other person, or receiver, will read first. The subject line is usually the most important part of an email. It should be short but has enough information so that the receiver knows the subject of the email. A good subject line sets the expectations for the email. A bad subject line can mean the receiver will not read the email.
*Opening
As in any form of writing, you should know your readers. The opening of an email depends on things like how formal (正式) the relationship is.
*Body
The body of the email is where you ask for what you need or make clear your reason for writing the email. This could be asking them a question or telling them something. The body of the email should prioritize (给予……优先权) the most important information. It should be direct, and it is wise to keep it short.
*Closing
The last part to a good email is the closing. It is usually one or two words that let the receiver know that this is the end of the email. The ending should include your name and tell the receiver where you work and what you do.

I often hear some students say English is difficult, and it gives them a headache. So they can't learn it well. But English is very easy for me. I'm very glad to tell you something about how I study English.
When I was in Grade One, we had a new subject—English. It was fresh for me. I was interested in it, so I worked hard at it. Soon we had an English exam and I got a very good mark. How happy I was! Our English teacher often teaches us English songs, and the songs sound nice. I often think how interesting English is!
Second, I think English is a foreign language. I should learn it well in the following ways: Then practice again and again, and never be tired. Whenever I have a question, I must make it clear by asking our English teacher. How happy I am when I understand!
A. I'm good at it.
B. And I also have a learning habit.
C. After that, I learned English harder and harder.
D. First, I think an interest in English is very important.
E. To think in English is a difficult thing for me at first.
F. Listen to the teacher carefully, speak bravely, read aloud and have a good vocabulary.
The tiger was clever, quick and strong. He was always making fun of other animals, mainly of the weak bumblebee (大黄蜂) and the slow and clumsy elephant.
One day, the animals were having a meeting in a cave (山洞) when there was a landslide which sealed up the cave opening. Everyone expected the tiger to save them, but he couldn't.
In the end, the bumblebee escaped through a tiny gap (裂缝) between the rocks. He flew off in search of the elephant, who didn't go to the meeting because he was feeling sad. The elephant came and moved the rocks, setting the animals free.
The animals thanked both the elephant and the bumblebee, and were keen to be their friends. The last animal to leave the cave was the tiger, ashamed. He learned his lesson, and from that day on he only saw the good in all other animals.
My best friend Bob likes playing computer games very much. He is used to (play) computer games. He spends a lot of time the computer every day. He often sits in same way for too long without moving, so his schoolwork is too bad and his parents are angry with (he).
Last week, he (have) a headache, sore eyes and a sore back. He even couldn't sleep well, his parents took him to see a doctor. The doctor examined (检查)him and said, "You should take (break) away from the computer. You shouldn't keep on using the computer for a long time. And you should do eye exercises (relax) your eyes and go to bed early at night." Now, he knows the (important) of working hard on his schoolwork. And he agrees to play computer games (one) a week.
I think if he has a good rest and studies hard, he will feel better soon and get good grades. After all, nothing is difficult if you put your heart into it.
