Everybody gets stressed from time to time. Different people feel stress in different ways. Some ways of dealing with stress—like screaming or hitting someone—don't solve much. But other ways, like talking to someone you trust, can lead you to solve your problem or at least feel better.
Try taking these four steps next time you are stressed:
Get support. When you need help, communicate with the people who care about you. Talk to trusted adults, such as your parents or other relatives. And don't forget about your friends. They might have had similar problems, such as dealing with a test, or the death of a beloved pet.
Don't take it out on yourself. Sometimes when kids are stressed and upset they take it out on themselves. Oh, dear, that's not a good idea. Remember that there are always people to help you. Don't take it out on yourself. Ask for a helping hand to get you through the tough situation.
Try to solve the problem. After you're calm and you have support from adults and friends, it's time to get down to business. You need to figure out what the problem is. Even if you can't solve it all, you can solve a piece of it.
Be positive. Most stress is temporary. Remember stress does go away, especially when you figure out the problem and start working on solving it.
These steps aren't magic, but they do work. And if you can stay positive as you make your way through a tough time, you'll help yourself feel better even faster. Ah, it feels so good when the stress is gone.

Traditional clothing plays an important role in any country's history and culture. In China, when it comes to traditional clothing, hanfu, qipao and the Chinese tunic suit(中山装)are the most popular. However, most Chinese people are unclear about them. Here is some information about these three kinds of clothing.
Hanfu was created by Han people in the beginning. It shows the Chinese belief. Its color, its style and even the length all relate to Chinese culture. Hanfu first appeared in the Shang Dynasty, over 3,000 years ago. It was popular for a long time in Chinese history from the Qin Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty. At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, it lost its popularity. In recent years, with growing calls for reviving(复兴) traditional Chinese culture, many Chinese people have taken a liking to hanfu.
Qipao, also known as the cheongsam, appeared in the 1920s and remained as the "national clothing" until the 1950s . At first, people made it wide and loose, covering most parts of the body. Yet it was not beautiful and people wanted a more beautiful kind of clothing. So in the 1930s, people made the traditional qipao tight to show the beauty of a woman's body. Now, lots of women still like to wear it.
The Chinese tunic suit is also called the "Sun Yatsen suit", because it was named after Sun Yatsen, a famous person in Chinese history. It looked simple but good, so it quickly became popular among Chinese men in the middle of 20th century. Although other kinds of clothing have replaced it, leaders of China still wear it when going to important events.

Good note-taking can be very important to academic(学术的) success. Notes can help you pass tests and complete assignments. To do so, use the following note-taking techniques when having lectures.
Keep your notes organized by writing important details at the top of each page. Include information such as the date, headlines, and the page number of your notes. Noting down details can make it easier for you to return to your notes and get important information.
Use your own language. Avoid noting down anything you hear word for word, unless it is a phrase or quote you may later use. Taking notes in your own words actively engages your brain and helps you better understand the lecture.
As you write your keywords and ideas down, leave space between two lines. Having extra room can make additional notes or clarify points that you may not understand. This helps you quickly have and identify all of the relevant material to that keyword or thought.
Draw your notes with a mind map. First, draw large circles and write specific topics you hear in them. Then, use thicker lines to indicate main points and write a brief key word or two that can summarize supporting information to the topic. Mind maps can be an especially useful tool if you are a visual learner or you don't know a lecturer's style.
A. Finally, add shorter and thinner lines for supporting details. B. If you can't read your own notes, then you won't be able to study with them. C. Note down details at the top of your paper. D. Write down key facts, ideas, and details in your own words. E. Skip lines on the paper for the later review. F. Review your notes. G. However, you may not be sure how to take notes. |
