On their way home, Melinda's children asked her, "Why did we go to the old people's home today? "Melinda said," Its Father's Day, and some old people there don't have children. I have all of you, and I still have my parents. What we did today means a lot to them.

More and more students like riding bikes to travel on the road. But it may be dangerous on your trip. For your own safety (安全), do the following things.
Wear a bike helmet(头盔) and it can protect(保护)your head. Look for a helmet that fits you well. Even the best, most expensive helmet won't protect you if it doesn't fit.
Wear the right clothes. They can make you feel better. And they can also protect you. Bright-colored clothes help people see you clearly _even in the daytime. Don't wear dark-colored clothes like black or brown while riding a bike.
Keep the rules of the road while riding a bike. Always ride on the right side of the street in the same direction. Never change your direction without first looking behind you. Don't ride too closely to cars—the cars may stop and the doors open suddenly(突然)! Finally, don't wear earphones while riding a bike-you need to hear what's going on around you.

I am having a good time in Beijing. The restaurant is big and there are 30 tables in it. I order a bowl of noodles，some tofu and some vegetables. The dumplings here look good, and I want to order some next time. The meal will cost me 50 yuan
The noodles and the tofu are delicious, and the vegetables are great, but the tea isn't very good.
The people in the restaurant use chopsticks(筷子)to have meals. I can't use them and I am learning how to use them. l think it will take me a long time to finish the meal.

It was sunny yesterday. I in Beijing with my friends at nine in the morning. We had breakfast on the plane, and we went to the hotel by taxi at once. After lunch，we decided to visit some of interest. First, we took a bus to the Summer Palace. We had boating on Kunming Lake and we there for about two hours. In the evening, we walked to Tian an men Square it was next to our hotel. We took some photos there. My parents liked very much. This morning we walked to the Palace Museum. On the way, we saw some people kites. The kites were in snaps (形状).Some were like birds and some were fish. They looked very interesting. Tomorrow we to visit the Great Wall. It's a great place of interest and I think we will have a good time there.
Saturday, June 16th
In the morning, we went camping in Green Natural Park. We were happy ①_________________ it was a sunny day. We were looking forward to a wonderful two-day holiday. On the way, we kept singing and making jokes.
However, in the afternoon, when we finished our picnic at one o'clock, it was a windy. Soon, there was a shower(阵雨).Unluckily, none(没有人) of us brought an umbrella. We ran about but we could find no place to hide(隐藏).
Twenty minutes passed and it was still raining. There were hours to go ②_________________ we reached the campsite(野营地). It was even worse that our small compass(指南针) showed that we went to the wrong way. We lost our way!

Chris and I tried to make a fire to keep us warm. But we weren't able to light(点燃) the fire, because everything was wet. We dried ourselves，chatted and waited inside the tent. At about five o'clock, it stopped raining. we decided to give up(放弃)the camping trip because all of us were very tired. This camping trip may not be successful (成功的) but we know each other better. And the most important thing I've learned from this camping trip is team spirit(合作精神).
