My life is always full of sadness and little joy. However, no matter(无论) what happens, I can always face it1.
Last year, I couldn't believe the2that I could get into the only key high school in my hometown. Then I rushed to my home and told my parents. But my parents didn't seem as3as I was. Father just kept smoking without saying a word and mother put her head down and couldn't help 4.
I knew very well what my family was like. My mom was ill in bed. We lived a hard life and I couldn't go on with my schooling. I felt so upset but I could say5 to my parents6to help my father with his work to support my family.
To my surprise, things completely(完全) changed7the beginning of the new term. My headteacher came to my family8some money, which was raised by my schoolmates. He encouraged(鼓励) me, "Always have a dream". With tears in my eyes, I came into the key high school.
I have studied hard since I got into the key high school. No matter when I meet difficulties, I always9my teacher and schoolmates. I have a college dream and I must work hard for it, no matter how10life is. Just as a great man says, "When one door shuts, another opens in life."

In our daily life, we need to communicate with others. Of course we speak with our mouths and use languages. There is a special language which speaks with bodies. That is called "body language" Can you speak with your body? Do you know the meaning of body languages? Read on and find out more.
When you speak with others, body language is important. Scientists say we do 65 percent of our communicating with body languages. For example, when we make faces, people think you are naughty or shy. Frowning(皱眉)shows you are angry or unhappy.
There are some easy and usual body languages in our daily life. For example, a "V" gesture(手势) shows happiness, victory or peace. Also, opening the mouth wide shows surprise. This is body language.
In different culture, the same body language may have different meanings. In most countries, nodding head means "Yes". But in some parts of Greece and Turkey, it means "No".
Different body languages can also mean the same thing. Let's take" Hello" for example. The Frenchmen like to kiss cheeks(脸颊) to say "Hello". But the Japanese bow. Maoris(毛利人) in New Zealand touch noses with each other when they meet.
Businessman Muck says his company is building a large spaceship that may travel to the planet Mars(火星). The spaceship would be able to take as many as 100 people to Mars.
Muck said he wanted to set up a city on Mars. He wants human beings(人类) to live on more than one plane1. And he thinks the best way to do that is to first colonize(开拓殖民地)Mars. He wants many people to be able to travel to the red planet.
Muck says the new city on Mars would need about 1 million people. To get them there and to build a city, it would take between 40 and 100 years—or about 10, 000 flights with 100 people every flight. The trip would last between 80 and 150 days.
In fact, the key is making the fight cheap enough to almost anyone who wants to go. The very first flight will be quite expensive. But reusing(循环使用) spaceships will help to lower the cost for each person.
No date has been set for the first flight. But Muck said he wanted to send the first manned spaceship to Mars by 2024.

Many people have heard of shark fin(鲨鱼翅) soup. Thisand expensive soup is popular in southern China. do you realize that you are killing a whole shark each time you enjoy a bowl of shark fin soup?
When people catch sharks, they cut off their fins andthem back into the ocean. This is harmful to the environment. Without a fin, a shark can no longer swim anddies. Sharks are the top of the food chain of ocean's ecosystem(海洋生态系统食物链). If their numbers drop too low, it will bringto all ocean life. However, people think that sharks can never be endangered(处境危险) because they are the strongest in the food chain. In fact, about 70 million sharks areand traded every year. The number of some kinds of sharks has fallen by 90percent in the past 20 to 30.
Environmental protection groups, such as Wild Aid and WWF(世界自然基金会) arethe public about" finning". They have even asked the government to have laws to stop the sale of shark fins. So far,no scientific studies(科学研究) have shown that shark fins are goodhealth, so why eat them? Help to save sharks.
