Mrs Green's birthday was on April 11. She celebrated it every year and had a little birthday party with her friends. This year they1to a new city. Mrs Green wanted to hold a big party for her birthday. She wanted to invite some2 friends. She was beginning to write the invitation when Mr Green saw that she was3"Party: 6:30 to 8:30".
"That's not very nice," he said. "You are4our guests that they must go home at 8:30.” So Mrs Green5over and just wrote “Party: 6:30 pm".
That day a lot of guests came to the party, and they took some presents to Mr Green. The party was very exciting. They sang and danced, and they drank and laughed. They all had a good time. They6go home at 8:30. In fact, they were still there at midnight when a policeman7 ． He said, "You must stop making noise, because someone has8.” So everybody had to go home.
Mrs Green was9. She asked Mr Green, "Who complained about the noise?"
“I did.” Mr Green answered in a10voice.
It was Mary's birthday. Her uncle wrote a letter and told her he would like to send her some chickens. She was very happy because she liked eggs and chickens. "I can keep the chickens for their eggs or eat them."
When the chickens arrived the next day, they were all in the box. Mary took the box off the truck and began to carry it into her garden, but the box of chickens was so heavy that she dropped it. The chickens all ran out, They ran here and there. Mary spent hours in trying to find them.
A few hours later her uncle came, He asked, "Did the chickens arrive safely?" "Yes, but I dropped the box. The chickens ran everywhere. It took me the whole morning to find them," Mary said.
"Did you find them all?" asked her uncle. "I hope so," Mary answered. "But I only caught eleven of them." "That's surprising. I only sent you six," her uncle laughed.
