How (不幸的)! I had a bad morning today.
First of all, I (睡过头). By the time I got up, my brother had already been in the (浴室). I had to wait. After he got out （从……） the shower, I took a quick shower and got (穿衣服). But by the time I went outside, the bus had already left. So I ran (整个的) the way to school. But when I got to school, I （意识到）I had (忘)my backpack at home. That was too (糟糕的).
Life is full of the(出乎意料的).
At the end of the term, our ethics(伦理学) professor gave us a test. He had told us (expect) one and had warned us it would be included in the final grade.
The test began. Sure enough, I was confident that I finished all the questions after forty (minute) except the very last one: What is the name of the woman who cleans the lecture hall?
I thought it was joke. I'd seen the woman many times. She'd been working in the building for at least a year. She is short dark hair, in her fifties, and we'd even smiled at each other once or twice. But I didn't know (she) name because I'd never thought of asking her. I handed in my test paper and the last question (leave) unanswered-hoping the final result wouldn't be influenced too (bad) because of it. But then one student put up his hand. He hadn't finished the test, "I'm just wondering," he said, "will it really change my grade if I don't complete the last question?" "Certainly," our professor (smile).

I've never forgotten that lesson, I also learned that the cleaner's name was Sherry.
On May 1st, a wildfire started in a forest near the Alberta town of Fort McMurray in Canada. Within two days, the fire grew larger and the people who lived in Fort McMurray had to leave their homes. While there have been very few people injured(伤害) by the large fire itself, it has been harmful to the community.
Canadians in other places have been helping by sending money and donations to the Red Cross. Many people in Alberta have taken in people from Fort McMurray, letting them stay in their homes for free until the fire is put out. Many firefighters are needed to fight the fire and some of them have come from other parts of Canada to help. The brave firefighters were able to save 25,000 homes as well as the hospital and all of the town's schools, according to CBC news.
There have been thousands of other acts of kindness towards the people of Fort McMurray. Some musicians, such as Great Big Sea's Alan Doyle, are holding special concerts, with the money going to Port McMurrav people. And companies have been helping as well. Beer-maker Labatt filled thousands of cans with water instead of beer and sent them to the people in Fort McMurray.
The fire is huge, spreading over more than 229,000 hectares(公顷), but firefighters say they believe there are starting to get it under control it is becoming smaller instead of spreading.
Let me tell you about the best day of my life! I got up early and ran to the kitchen in my pajamas(睡衣). It was my thirteenth birthday and I was really 1. In fact, I wasn't sleeping all night because I kept 2 all the presents I would get.
I walked into the kitchen with a big smile on my face, 3 nobody looked up. Mum and Dad were reading their newspapers while my two older brothers were eating breakfast. 4 said a word! "They have forgotten about my birthday!" I said to myself. I turned around and walked out of the 5. Suddenly, I heard a noise, so I went back to 6 what it was. I couldn't believe my eyes! There were lots of 7 on the kitchen table. "Surprise!" I heard 8 me. When I turned around, I saw Mum, Dad and my brothers! Mum was holding a huge 9 with candles and they were singing "Happy Birthday" to me. We shared the cake and opened all the presents. They didn't 10 my birthday after all. It really was the best day of my life!
