This is Jim's bedroom. It's new and nice. A bed and a chair are in it. A desk is on the floor. Some flowers are on it. A bookshelf is behind the bed. Some English books are on the bookshelf. A picture is on the wall. Some people are in the picture, the man is his father. The woman is his mother. Who is the boy? Do you know?

    This is my room. Near the window there is a desk. I often do my homework at it. You can see some books, some flowers in a vase, a ruler and a pen. On the wall near the desk there is a picture of a cat. There is a clock above the end of my bed. I usually put my football under my bed. Of course there is a chair in front of the desk. I sit there and I can see the trees and roads outside.

    My dad works from Monday to Friday in a bank. He uses the computer to count money. His job is very important in the bank.

    Dad is also busy at home. At weekends he cooks dinner. Usually he cooks Italian food. On Sundays he makes five pieces of pizza. Sometimes he cooks chicken and makes Chinese food. My mum watches and helps him. I help my dad, too. I wash the dishes.

    Many people think it is strange for a man to cook. But my dad enjoys his hobby. Cooking relaxes him. He is a weekend cook.

Assistant: Can I help you, Miss White?

Miss White: Yes. I want a pair of  sandals, please.

Assistant: What size?

Miss White: Size ten .

Assistant: How about this pair? They are black. They are good.

Miss White: How much are they?

Assistant: They are 160 yuan.

Miss White: Oh. They are too expensive.

Assistant: These brown sneakers are cheaper. They're 30 yuan.

Miss White: OK. I will take them.

    The Spring Festival was on February 7th this year. Because Spring Festival is the most important festival in China, so my parents cleaned and decorated our house with me before spring festival. We also bought lots of things in the supermarket.

    On the eve of the Spring Festival，we had a big dinner. After dinner, I put on my new clothes，then my father、my mother and I went to the Flower Fairs．Wow! There were lots of kinds of flowers in the Flower Fairs，they were lilies、tulips、peach flowers….，how colorful and beautiful they were! So we took some photos here．We bought some flowers, then we went home happily. We watched TV until midnight. At twelve o'clock, we cheered to welcome the new year and wished each other good luck.

During Spring Festival I got lots of lucky money, so my favorite festival is Spring Festival. I hope every day is Spring Festival.

Chen Jie: Which season do you like best, Mike ?

Mike: I like summer best.  

Chen Jie: Why do you like summer?

Mike: Because I can eat ice-cream and swim in the lake.

Chen Jie: I don't like summer. It's too hot.  

Zang Peng: What's your favourite season?

Chen Jie: Spring. It's sunny and warm. I can plant trees and fly kites. How about you,

Zhang Peng?

Zhang Peng: My favourite season is winter.

Mike: Why do you like it?

Zhang Peng: Because I can skate and make a snowman. I like snow.

At the Barber's

    Len was thirty years old, and he had very long hair. He lived in a big city. Because of his long hair, he did not find any work. One day he met an old friend, and this man said to him, "People in this city don't like long hair. Why don't you go to a barber? He can cut a lot of it off, and then you can get some work" At the barber's Len said to the barber, "Please cut most of my hair off."

    The barber began. He cut and cut for a long time and then he said to Len, "Were you in the army a few years ago?"

    "Yes, I was," Len answered, "Why did you ask that?" "Because I found a cap in your hair."

What did you do last Saturday?

Jim：I read books in the library. It isn't near my house. I had to go there by bus.

Mike: I had a Chinese class. The school isn't far from my home. I walked there.

Anna: I played in the park. The park is very far. So I rode a bike there.

Mary: I met some friends at the train station. It is very far and I took a taxi there.

John: I went on a trip to New York. It is 400 kilometers away from my city, so I went there by train.

    On October 1st, we went to Wuyishan in Fujian by train. We stayed at a beautiful hotel. It was cool and cloudy on October 2nd. In the morning we climbed the mountains and went to see the waterfall. We were tired, but we were happy. In the afternoon we went on a raft trip . We took some pictures. We had a lot of fun there.

Today was a sunny day. In the morning, Robin and I walked to Wu Binbin's home. It was his birthday. I bought some dinosaurs' pictures for him. He liked them very much. We ate the birthday cake and lunch together. We had a good time.
