Johanna Maria is a 22-year-old German girl. Hechizo is her pet pony(小矮马). He is 14 years old. This year, Johanna was accepted into a Scottish(苏格兰的) university. She couldn't bear the life without Hechizo so she decided to take him to go to school. However, transporting Hechizo would cost Johanna 2,000 pounds and she didn't have enough money. Then a special journey started. They walked 1,500 miles from a farm to the school. The two had spent the past seven months travelling between 13 and 20 miles a day. They camped out and slept at farms overnight and attracted a large social media following. Johanna said, "We have owned some followers on Facebook now and they are really kind. They have offered us lots of places to stay, but it seems difficult for us to make plans. We've made so many friends and I have felt mostly safe. We have had every kind of weather, lots of wind and rain."
With her father's help, Johanna and Hechizo crossed the Channel and arrived in England on July 13th. They restarted their walking in East Sussex on August 1st, reached Northumberland on September 3rd and hoped to cross the border(边地) within the next few days. Johanna said, "I really enjoyed walking through the fields, just the two of us. Hechizo is my everything. I got him for my 18th birthday. Sometimes he was so tired that he almost fell asleep while walking, but I thought he enjoyed it. For both Hechizo and me, it is a magic journey."
