Once upon a time, a boy wanted to learn about the secret of happiness from a wise man. He had imagined the wise man living a simple life like a sage (圣人), to his surprise, the man lived in a large castle and enjoyed delicious food.
After hearing the boy's thoughts, the wise man advised the boy around his castle and return in an hour. He also gave him a task. He handed over a spoon to the boy had some drops of oil. "As you walk around, carry this spoon with you without allowing the oil to spill (洒),"said the wise man.
The boy began walking around, keeping his fixed on the spoon. After an hour, he returned. The wise man asked," What is my castle like? Can you it?" The boy shook his head.
"Then go back and enjoy the of my castle," said the wise man. The boy did as he This time, he noticed how beautiful the castle was and enjoyed himself. Upon returning, he described everything he had seen. But the wise man asked "But where are the drops of oil?"
