    Asking for directions is often the first thing we do when we arrive in a different country, or even when we are just trying to find a place. The way we ask for directions may influence the answer we get. Luckily, most people are very polite and helpful.

    If you want to receive a nice explanation, begin by saying "Hello" first. For example, we can say "Hello! Good afternoon! Could you help me? "And remember to finish with "thank you and "have a nice day".

    Modal verbs (情态动词) will help you express yourself. For example, we can say" or "I would like to go to the Royal Museum". You should know the basic vocabulary that can be used when people give directions. For example, we should learn some places like High Park, Tian'anmen Square and Queen Street. We should also know these words: traffic lights, post office, and block. Somebody may tell you" or "Go along the street until you reach the traffic lights.

    B. It is also useful to remember some famous places.

    D. Don't be shy.

    E. Firstly, we must start the conversation with a friendly greeting.

    F. You should ask for help politely.
