Hayao Miyazaki is one of Japan's most popular animators (动画师). Many of his works have been made into films, such as Princess Mononoke (《魔法公主》) and My Neighbor Totoro (《龙猫》).
Hayao Miyazaki was born in Tokyo in 1941, His family owned a factory that built planes, and he fell in love with planes and flying at an early age. We can see amazing flying scenes often in his films.
Miyazaki's career (生涯) as an animator began in 1963 when he joined Toei Animation. In 1984, Miyazaki made his own film Nausicaa of the valley of the Wind (《风之谷》). It was a huge success. In 1985, he set up Studio Ghibli with his friend. After their hard work, Princess Mononoke became the second-biggest box-office hit in Japanese movie history. At the same time, My Neighbor Totoro won lots of fans' hearts.
During his free time, Miyazaki liked traveling. By traveling, he found lots of inspiration (灵感) for his works. Now, he has owned a place in his own field.
