The English exam
Dimitri woke up at 7:00 am when the alarm went off. He chatted with a friend on the computer1nearly midnight the previous(先前的) night so he was feeling quite2and also rather nervous because this was the day of an important English3at school. Dimitri listened to the teacher4and he also studied very hard for this exam, so he thought he had a good chance of5it.
While Dimitri was travelling to school on the bus, he remembered that he6to take bis wallet with him so he didn't have any money to buy lunch. Just after this, his friend Lucas7the bus.
“Can I8some money, Lucas?" asked Dimitri.
“Sure, no9, ” replied Lucas. Lucas took out some money from his pocket and lent it to Dimitri.
The two boys took the English exam.10they were having lunch, Dimitri asked Lucas if he thought the exam had been difficult. Lucas smiled and11the slice of the chocolate cake that he was eating.
“It was so12! It was a piece of cake!" said Lucas, smiling.
