Be prepared for class. You can't stay focused if you don't have all the necessary supplies ready, and you're in your seat on time. There's nothing worse for your classroom reputation than forgetting your math textbook, or having to ask for a pencil or a piece of paper that you forget to bring.
Get involved in the class discussions.Raise your hand if you know the answer, and talk during discussions in class if they're going on.
