One day Alice decided (try) the delights of microwave cooking. Therefore, her husband went out and bought (she) a brand new microwave oven.
Christmas came near and Alice (get) out her Christmas pudding recipe and began to collect the several necessary food materials to make it. She prepared it in her traditional way and even told each member of the family to stir (搅拌) the (mix) " for luck ". When Alice searched the microwave's handbook for the cooking time, she couldn't believe that ten minutes would be enough for a Christmas pudding. As result, she increased the time to 60 minutes.
As Alice was in the sitting room (watch) her favourite TV programme she didn't see or hear anything (usual) in the oven. When she finally took out the pudding after an hour, it smelt of burnt sugar and looked like a hard ball. (natural), the pudding was so hard that Alice couldn't even cut it with a knife. fact the black ball had become stuck to the bowl and Archie had to get a stick to get it out.
Feeling angry, Alice threw the ugly pudding to Togo, her dog. After a few days, to her surprise, she found that Togo loved his new " toy ", made him happy until next Christmas.
