This great occasion(盛会) will be the National Theatre of China's first visit to the UK. The company's productions show the new face of 21st century Chinese theatre. This production of Shakespeare's Richard III will be directed by the National's Associate Director, Wang Xiaoying.

Marjanishvili Theatre Tbilisi｜Georgian
One of the most famous theatres in Georgia, the Marjanishvili, founded in 1928, appears regularly at theatre festivals all over the world. This new production of As You Like It is helmed(指导) by the company's Artistic Director Levan Tsuladze.

Deafinitely Theatre London｜British Sign Language(BSL)
By translating the rich and humourous text of Love's Labour's Lost into the physical language of BSL, Deafinitely Theatre creates a new interpretation of Shakespeare's comedy and aims to build a bridge between deaf and hearing worlds by performing to both groups as one audience.

Habima National Theatre Tel Aviv｜Hebrew
The Habima is the centre of Hebrew-language theatre worldwide. Founded in Moscow after the 1905 revolution, the company eventually settled in Tel Aviv in the late 1920s. Since 1958, they have been recognized as the national theatre of Israel. This production of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice marks their first visit to the UK.

For the first time since my open-heart operation, I have the energy to take my harp (竖琴) to the hospital rooms and play for anyone who likes it.
I checked in with two nurses and they gave me a list of rooms. The first man I played for was a patient who found it difficult to sleep. He smiled and with his eyes closed, he reached out to my harp. He was not interested in my voice, but he appreciated the harp. In the next room was a woman patient. I played some soft music for her and then she slept soundly.
Then I found a lovely elderly woman who was awake. There were flowers everywhere and photos of her and her husband at her bedside. She held my hand and talked for some time and was pleased to receive harp music. Playing for her was a special pleasure. She asked me how long I had been playing the harp, how much the harp weighed, how I learned it and why I wanted to learn it and so on.
We talked about books for a bit as well. I played until her grandson came in and he came back from overseas to see her. This woman was deeply loved—you could see that. She was beautiful and kind. I learn so much from these beautiful people who are brave to face their illnesses. It is always such a great honor to play for them.
An international group of coffee experts has considered Ethiopia's coffee as the best in the world. Coffee is a top export (出口物) of the country. But at home, it is seen as national pride. Ethiopians feel good about their coffee, and enjoying a drink with friends is a long tradition.
Some people say the climate produces quality beans. Morton Wennersgarrd is a coffee importer. He said, "Ethiopia has different ancient types of coffee. They are planted in places with perfect soil, perfect altitude (海拔), and climates that are really suitable for coffee processing."
Finding the best quality beans is often an issue of taste. The process is known as cupping — tasting and comparing coffee from different roasted beans, grading and then pricing them. But before international experts come to taste, coffee beans are studied in small coffee laboratories. Helen Assefa, a lab technician, describes the process, "When the coffee comes to the lab, we assess (评价) its quality first by recording the details. Then we weigh the moisture (水分) level and we examine the beans for analysis. After that we grind (磨碎) the coffee beans and taste the samples. In the end, we check for defective (有瑕疵的) beans." Mubarik Abaoli is a lab worker. He says that testing is a very difficult and long process. "We select out the defects by hand. And we select out the defect according to the defect types."
Ethiopia has got a lot of money by exporting coffee to more than 120 countries. The country has an export revenue (税收) of more than 840 million a year. But not all the best coffee leaves Ethiopia. Forty percent of the coffee grown in the country stays there. It remains an important part of everyday life at work, at home and at ceremonies.
Life will probably be very different in 2050. First of all, it seems that TV channels will have vanished by 2050. Instead, people will choose a programme from a "menu" and a computer will send the programme directly to the television. By 2050, music, films, programmes, newspapers and books will come to us in the similar way.
In many places, agriculture is developing quickly and people are growing fruit and vegetables for export. This uses a lot of water. Therefore, there could be serious shortages of water. Some scientist predict that water could be the cause of wars if we don't act now.
In the future, cars will run on new, clean fuels (燃料) and they will go very fast. Cars will have computers to control the speed and there won't be any accidents. Today, many cars have computers that tell drivers exactly where they are. By 2050, the computer will control the car and drive it to your destination. Also, by 2050, space planes will fly people from Los Angeles to Tokyo in just two hours.
Some big companies now prefer to use robots that do not ask for pay rises or go on strike, and work 24 hours a day. They are also easy to control. And they never argue with people. They can be easily used in a variety of places—factories, schools, offices, hospitals, shops and homes.
Scientists will have discovered how to control genes (基因). Scientists have already produced clones (克隆) of animals. By 2050, scientists will be able to produce clones of people and decide how they look and how they behave. Scientists will be able to do these things, but should3hey?
Years ago I was 1in the Himalayas and had made the mistake of changing a large amount of money into the local currency(货币). 2I walked through the villages of the Annapurna, it soon became clear that the people were too3to supply even the simplest goods. They had nothing. This meant that it was no use carrying the wad(捆) of4 in my pack and I was a virtual(虚拟的) walking millionaire compared to the local people. I grew to5the money and it was embarrassing to have it in my bag. This resulted 6 a remarkable experience that 7 me deeply and its effect has never left me.
On this particular day I was left behind by fellow hikers and found myself in a valley. As I made myself down, I noticed a young girl around 8 some sheep. Like so many of the children of the amazing Nepalese people, she was very beautiful. I couldn't9looking at her and she looked at me. As I approached her she suddenly rushed over to me, and without a10, handed me a flower. She11at me for a tiny moment and then she ran away. The spirit in this lovely child had responded to something she saw in me and her first idea was to find something to12. Because of her13, there was nothing she had14 a single flower. The weight of my bag was never heavier than at this moment and I had just received one of themost valuable15 I had ever had in my life.
Every child should know some basic first aid skills. This is true whether your child is four or fourteen.
Calling for help
Once your child reaches the age of four, he should know all about calling 911 in the event of an emergency.
For example, he should call 911 if an adult asks him to, if an adult passes out and cannot be woken, if there is a fire and he can't findan adult, or if people are hurt.
As I am typing this, I just realized that although my kids are taught about 911, the telephones inthe house are out of reach for all but my oldest child (to prevent the other two from playing with the phone). Don't make this mistake yourself. You do hope your children can get in touch with the police intime.
Teach children about basic care for cuts and scrapes. In my house, the kids all know that cuts must be cleaned and know where the bandages are. Asking an adult for help is necessary. Also they should know a bit about self-care. Believe it or not, I had to help a teenage neighbor once who had no idea what todo when he cut his hand on broken glass. He just ran around in a circle.
Burns
Tell your child that ifhe ever gets aburn, he should immediately call for help. Meanwhile, he should run the cool but not cold water for the burn. Getting a burn cooled down quickly can reduce the damage to the skin.

"I'm going to miss you so much, Poppy," said the tall, thin teenager. He bent down to hug his old friend goodbye. He stood up, hugged his parents, and smiled, trying not to let his emotions get the better of him.
His parents were not quite able to control theirs. They had driven their son several hours out of town to the university where he would soon be living and studying. It was time to say goodbye for now at least. The family hugged and smiled through misty eyes and then laughed.
The boy lifted the last bag onto his shoulder, and flashed a bright smile. "I guess this is it," he said. "I'll see you back home in a month, okay?" His parents nodded, and they watched as he walked out of sight into the crowds of hundreds of students and parents. The boy's mother turned to the dog, "Okay, Poppy, time to go back home."
The house seemed quiet as a tomb without the boy living there. All that week, Poppy didn't seem interested in her dinner, her favorite toy, or even in her daily walk. Her owners were sad too, but they knew their son would be back to visit. Poppy didn't.
They offered the dog some of her favorite peanut butter treats. They even let her sit on the sofa, but the old girl just wasn't her usual cheerful self. Her owners started to get worried. "What should we do to cheer Poppy up?" asked Dad. "We've tried everything."
"I have an idea, but it might be a little crazy," smiled Mom. "Without anybody left in the house but us, this place could use a bit of fun. Let's get a little dog for Poppy.
It didn't take long before they walked through the front door carrying a big box. Poppy welcomed them home as usual but when she saw the box, she stopped. She put her nose on it. Her tail began wagging (摆动) ever so slowly, then faster as she caught the smell.
