When I was 17, l read such a quote(引文), "If you live each day as if it were your last, someday you'll most certainly be right. " It touched me a lot, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror(镜子) every morning and asked myself, "Would this be my last day? Would I want to do what l am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days, I know I need to do something and to change something.
About a year ago with the help of medical instrument(医疗器械), the doctors discovered that I had a terrible illness the worst I ever imagined. They told me that I could live no longer than three to six months. They advised me to go home and get things in order, which was a warning for preparation to die. It meant trying to tell my kids everything in just a few months, and to tell my family what they'd do in the following years. It meant saying many goodbyes. l lived with that warning all day. But later the doctors told me that this illness might be cured(治愈)with the help of modern science and technology. I had an operation and m fine now.
Your time is limited(有限的), so don't waste it living someone else's life. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and feelings.
