Traveling by train may be the best choice if you take a long journey. There is no way you can begin to understand how amazing an experience it can be. Trains offer a (特定的) romance which planes and cars never could.
Trains offer you a view like no other. When you fly to someplace, yes, the view is breathtaking for the first part of the flight and the final part, but the flight itself means pretty much clouds or darkness—both of which get real boring and real fast. And by car, the actual act of (驾驶) and navigating(导航) means that you don't really get to fully take things in. The train offers a (舒服的) spot that gives you the chance to relax and enjoy the beauty around you. Many have said that they'd never known how beautiful their own country is (直到) having the chance to see it from the train. There is something magical about traveling around the country using one of the oldest known (方法) of transportation.
If you are inspired by this article enough to want to (考虑) a trip enjoying the train, my first (建议) would be a trip in and around Europe. You've likely (听见) of Eurail which is the best way to get all around Europe, but before we get into that, know that many European countries still use the old fashionable locomotives(火车头) for regional trips.
(想象) traveling along the beautiful countryside of Portugal or Austria in a compartment made for four. The (安静的) setting, the history and the magic is enough to take your breath away. That is just why we travel.
Guo Shugao is a mailman in Changsha, Hunan. Recently, he helped put out a fire in old neighborhood.
The accident happened at around 10:00 a.m, on October 11th. Guo was sending newspapers in the Wangyuehu community when he saw smoke rising from a kitchen on the(three) floor of a building.
Guo has worked there for over 10 years, so he knew (exact) that the fire was from the kitchen of an old couple—Liu Jianjun and her husband.
Community workers and (neighbor) there also noticed the fire and called
119. They knocked on the couple's door, but no one answered. What was (bad), the fire was even bigger.
Worrying about the old couple's safety, Guo rushed to that floor a second thought. He braced(固定) himself between the pipes(管道) on the outer wall so that he could free his hands to use a fire extinguisher(灭火器). Finally, the fire (put) out. Guo got on his motorcycle and rode away.
With poor hearing, 92-year-old Liu didn't know anything about the process others put out the fire. She forgot (turn) the gas off after finishing cooking, which caused the fire. Her husband has trouble (move) around, so they failed to answer the door.
Liu wrote a three-page letter to express her thanks to Guo. "It's nothing worth mentioning. I will always help out whenever I can," Guo said.
