Patience is of great important in our daily life
Once I waited for a bus to come at a stop. Thirty minutes passed, but no bus came. Both upset and annoyed, I decided to go on foot. But no sooner had I left than the bus arrived. I thought if I had waited one more minute, I would have catched it. If I chose to take the next bus, I would have to wait for other 30 minutes. Only then did I realize my problem. Being impatient will possibly waste all the effort that we have put it in.
Now whenever I am close to losing my patience, I'll think of this experience.
The environment is everything around us in the natural world. It is the earth, the air, rivers, lakes, forests and seas. These are 1 human beings depend on for a living.
All natural waste is 2 Animal waste and dead bodies are broken down by small creatures, like those worms in the soil. This is their 3 . China's 71-metre-tall Leshan Buddha,the largest stone Buddha in the world, re-opened to the public after experts carried out emergency restoration on the 1, 300-year-old statue. The repair project started in October last year and the scaffolding was removed in late March after experts mended the cracks on the statue. Tourists are once again able to see the entirety of the towering sitting Buddha from the Min River by the mountain.
The Buddha was built in 713 AD during the Tang Dynasty at the meeting point of three rivers, the Min River, Qingyi River and Dadu River. The statue is based on the image of Maitreya, which is regarded as the future Buddha. It is next to the Lingyun Temple on Lingyun Mountain in Leshan. Lingyun Temple means the "cloud side" temple in Chinese, and the name means the high altitude of the huge statue. It is said that in ancient times many boats sailed past Leshan, and therefore the monks at the Lingyun Temple decided to build a Buddha statue to save living creatures. It took them about 90 years to complete the religious and artistic masterpiece. The statue is so great that people from all over the world come to visit and admire the wonderful work.
A worker said the Buddha had some cracks on its face, chest and stomach after being out in nature for more than a thousand years. The damage could have caused rocks to fall and endanger the tourists. An expert said the latest repair was not "systematic restoration", but a "scientific and research project". The repair project could lay foundation for the future overall protection of the Buddha, the expert told Xinhua News Agency.
Ballet for children and teenagers
It can take a long time to reach a professional level in ballet, so most dancers begin their training very young. It is essential that very young dancers learn the ballet movements properly right from the beginning. This is because it is usually more difficult to change old habits than to learn new ones.
The first thing that young children who are interested in learning to dance often do is attend creative movement classes, where they can practise basic skills like jumping and turning, and just have fun. In addition, some people recommend that they should learn either to sing or play an instrument.
Young people who decide they want to have a ballet career can attend a dance school. Here, students not only study normal school subjects but also do daily dance training. And the whole dance-school environment is set up to support the young people's artistic development; it allows them to focus on their dance more easily, and prepares them for their future. But how can a young dancer and their parents tell which dance school is the most suitable? The older students taking part in it should clearly have more highly-developed ballet skills than the younger dancers.
By the time they are 16 or 17, many ballet dancers are entering ballet competitions and taking classes at professional studios. It is important for young dancers to know how well they are doing, because the dance world is very competitive and the training hard; not everyone makes it to the top.

Book Fair Funds
Tanika and Caleb sat at a large round table in the library with their teacher, Mr. Rutledge, and one of the school librarians, Mrs. Angley. The adults were smiling widely at Tanika and Caleb.
"Probably you (wonder) why we asked you both to stay a few minutes after school today" began Mr. Rutledge. "We have the totals from last weekend's book fair, and we wanted to share them with you," he continued. "Mrs. Angley, you (do) the honors?" he asked turning to the librarian.
Mrs. Angley nodded. "This has been the most successful book fair in the nine years that Washington (hold) ," she said, "and much of the credit goes to you two," she added, "Mr. Rutledge is also deserving of some credit since it (be) his idea to involve such creative and motivated students in planning the fair."
"This is great news," said Caleb. "We could see that people (enjoy) themselves at the fair, but we had no idea how that would translate into profits."
"A lot of work (need) in the plan," added Tanika "but we had so much help. It really was a team effort."
"Because you both put so much energy and enthusiasm into this event." said Mr. Rutledge, "we (decide) that we could use your help in allocating the money we raised. The principal and the library staff have already set aside funds for things that are necessities. However, it has not yet been decided how the remaining money will be used. Do you have any ideas?"
Caleb and Tanika were quiet for a moment as they thought about the possibilities. Then, Caleb spoke up. "I agree with what Tanika said about the fair being a team effort. Students from every class contributed and it would be nice if there was a way we could show our appreciation. Which books (add) to the library's collection? Could they help us to make a decision?" he asked.
"That's an excellent idea," agreed Mr. Rutledge. "If there (be) any money leftover" said Tanika, "Do you think we could use it to bring authors and illustrators to the school more often? Everyone I talked to seemed to think that was the best part of the air." Mrs. Angley nodded. "We've already put some money aside for that," she said. "The school received several donations from parents during the fair, and the principal thinks that the money would be well spent just as you've suggested."
"There's just one more thing," said Mr. Rutledge, "Would you consider (help) to plan next year's book fair? We could use your expertise."
Tanika and Caleb exchanged glances. "With an invitation like that, how could we resist?" said Caleb.
