One day, some boys bought 2 from a supermarket. They put a lot of food in me. They rode their bikes and brought me to a 3 They enjoyed the food and had a lot of fun there. 4 they were not so careful （细心的），because they forgot all about me when they 5 ! I had to stay on the beach.
One day, it was 6—the wind was very strong and it blew me into the sea.

Where are you now, Phil?
I'm on a train and I'm going to Paris. I love Paris. It's not my favorite city, but I like it. It's big and interesting.
What's your day like?
I'm very lucky. Life is never boring for me because I'm in a different （不同的）place and with different people every day. I often get up late. After breakfast, I start work. I write for two or three hours. I love writing, but I don't like writing at home. I go to cafes or museums （咖啡馆或博物馆） to work. I always have my computer with me.
Sometimes I write outside in a park. I like it. At about 1:00, I stop for hunch. In the afternoon, I often meet people for interviews （访谈）. I meet lots of great people. I love talking to people, and it's lots of fun.
Why are you going to Paris?
I'm going there to meet someone famous （某个名人），He lives in Paris and he's working on a new film.

One night a man goes to rob （盗窃） a house.
The robber finds many fine clothes in the house. The old man doesn't say anything and helps him carry （拿） the clothes. "He must be a robber too," the man thinks. The clothes are heavy. The robber is very angry with him.
When they get to the robber's house, the robber gives the old man some of the clothes and asks him to go away. He says, "These clothes are mine. You must be very poor （贫穷的）, so you robbed my house. Please keep all the clothes. If you want more, come and see me again."
The robber is very surprised（感到意外的）that the old man is so kind.
And he tells the old man he is very sorry too.
After that the robber becomes a new man. He works hard and lives a good life.

The Wind and the Sun are talking about who is stronger （更强）.
"I can blow down ," the Wind says. "But you can't do that."
"But I don't think you're stronger," the Sun says.
"Why don't we have a test?" the Wind says. "See that over there?"
The Sun looks down and sees a man along a road with a jacket in his
hand. He is singing happily.
"Let's see who can blow down first," the Wind says.
"No, it will hurt （伤害） him," the Sun says. "How about seeing who can make him take his sweater off （脱摊）?"
"No !" says the Wind.
Then the Wind blows After some time, the man feels and puts on his jacket.
"Now it's my turn," say the Sun. He gets big and. red. it is very hot, just like a summer day.
The man quickly takes his jacket and sweater off. "What. Funny today!" he says.
" like you're stronger," the Wind says to the Sun.
"No, I'm just good at keeping people warm," says the Sun. "You're also good bat other things."
You have big eyes and a small nose. While your friend has small eyes and a big nose. What makes you and your friend look different? The answer is genes （基因）. Scientists found 15 genes deciding （决定） some of our facial features （面部特征） Some of these genes can pass down from parents to children. That's why we often hear people say, "You are just a clone （克隆） of your mom, or of your dad."
But what facial features did you get from your mom? And what parts came from your dad?
Nose
The tip of the nose is the most (A)"handed down" part. If one of your parents has a big nose, you are likely to have the same nose shape.
Chin
If one of your parents has a big chin （下巴）, usually you have a big chin.
Skin color
One parent has a light skin color. The other parent has a dark skin color. Most of the time, you have a skin color in between.
No two faces are the same
Even twins don't look the same. Their looks are just very similar （相似的）. They can have some small differences.
