Halloween is on 31st October. People in the West celebrate it. People celebrate Halloween in many ways. Children wear special costumes and masks(面具) at Halloween. Many children play a game called ‘trick or treat'. They knock on neighbours'(邻居) doors and shout ‘trick or treat'. Their neighbours usually give them a treat of some candy. If the children do not get any candy, they can play a trick on the eighbor. Some people also make special pumpkin(南瓜) lanterns. They make the eyes, the nose and the sharp teeth. They put candles in them so the light shines(闪耀) through the eyes, the nose and the teeth. Families usually have a party on the evenings of October 31st and have a lot of chocolates, candies, hot drinks and lots of nice food.
Mr. White lives in a tall building. He lives on the sixteenth floor. Every day, he takes a lift（电梯）up and down.
