Pandas live high in the forest of southern China. There are large black patches(斑)around their eyes, over the ears and across their round bodies.
Pandas need to eat a lot of bamboo to keep energy. It takes them about 12 to 16 hours a day to eat their favourite food. They need to sleep a lot to keep energy too, so they spend more than 10hours sleeping.
Pandas are the national treasure(国宝)of China! They are loved by people from all over the world. But these cute animals are on the verge of extinction(濒临灭绝). There are only about 1, 000in the wild, so we need to do all in our hands to protect them.

Kitty: Last week, I ate a little sweet food. I ate some meat and eggs. I ate a lot of rice, vegetables and fruit.
Peter: That's not healthy enough.
Kitty: What should we eat to keep healthy?
Peter. We can look at the food pyramid(金字塔). We call this a balanced diet. At the bottom are grains(谷物). We should eat more grains than anything else. Just above grains are fruit and vegetables. We should eat a lot. They keep us from getting ill. Next are meat and dairy products(乳制品). They make us strong. But too much of them makes us fat and unhealthy. Last is fatty food. They are tasty but unhealthy. Fatty food is not good for our bodies. We should only eat a little fatty food.
Joe: Last week, I ate a little fruit. I ate some vegetables and rice. I ate a lot of meat and fish.
Peter. That's 13_______. You should eat a lot of 14_______. You shouldn't 15_______.
That's_______.
