Sunday, 4th October
It was sunny in the morning. Dad and I got up very early. Because we wanted to go fishing. We had a quick breakfast. Then we went away by bike. Mum asked Dad to take raincoats with us. 'The weather forecast said it would rain in the afternoon.' But we didn't listen to her. It began to rain cats and dogs after lunch. Dad and I had to go back. We were wet all through. We didn't catch any fish! But we caught a bad cold! Oh, what a day!
Uncle John was driving around the city one evening. He was looking for a small hotel (酒店). He saw an old man in the street. He stopped his car and said to the old man, "I want to go to the Moon Hotel. Do you know it?" "Yes, let me show you the way." Said the old man and got into Uncle John's car. They drove on, about 6 kilometres (公里). Then they came to a small house. "Stop here." The old man said. Uncle John looked at the house and said. "But this isn't a hotel." "No, this is my house, and now I'll show you the way to the Moon Hotel. Turn around (回转) and go back four kilometres. Then you'll see the hotel on the right."
