I'm Kate. Emily is my little sister. She's only five years old. She is very lovely. She can play the piano very well. She likes drawing very much, but she's very bad at drawing.

One afternoon, my mother gave her some pieces of paper and crayons. She asked Emily to draw an animal. "No problem. I will finish the job soon," said Emily with a smile. Then she came into her bedroom and drew the picture quietly and carefully. Mother and I stayed in the kitchen and cooked some nice food for dinner.

It took her three hours to finish the picture, but she was unhappy when we looked at it. "What a cute panda!" My mother said happily. "But I don't like pandas. I don't want to draw a panda. I want to draw a bear!" answered Emily.

Weather: cool and windy

This morning, Uncle Bob and I went on a ride in his helicopter(直升机). The helicopter lifted us up gently and quickly. It was fast.

First, we were over Whiteway. I saw many factories there. There was a lot of smoke from the factories. The air was dirty. Then we flew to Blueway. I saw many buildings there. I also saw a river beside a large park. The air in the field was clean. After that we flew to Yellowway. There were many construction sites (建筑工地) and a lot of dust (灰尘). The air was very dirty.

At last we flew back to Greenway. There were many ships in the harbour (港口). The air in Greenway was also very dirty. Our city is beautiful, but the air is dirty. We must keep it clean.

Water is very important to living things. Without water, there must be no life on the Earth. All plants and animals need water. Water is needed in factories, offices, schools, families and many other places. Farmers need water to water the crops and vegetables. Workers need water to make things. Firemen need water to put out the fire.

We must save water. Don't waste it!

A man finds a seat on the train, but there's a bag on it. So he asks the woman beside (在旁边) the seat, “Is there anyone here？”

    "Yes, my friend will be back soon! He is in the toilet," the woman answers.

    The man is very tired. He sits down and says, "I will sit till (直到) your friend comes back!"

    Ten minutes later the train starts to move.

    "Oh, poor fellow. Your friend misses the train, but he can't lose his bag. "

    After saying these words, the man throws the bag out of the window.

    "It's my bag!" the woman shouts out. But it's too late.

    Summer holiday is coming. Sarah and her friends make a holiday plan. They are going to visit some famous countries. For example, they are going to visit China. They are going to Beijing. They are going to visit the Summer Palace and Tian'anmen Square. They like them. They are going to the zoo to see animals in Beijing. They are going to learn Chinese. They are going to cook Chinese food. They like eating dumplings very much. They think the dumplings are delicious. At last, they are going to make some friends in China.

    In the Noise Kingdom(王国), people like to make noise. They did everything loudly. Everyone was a noisy neighbour.

    The king's birthday was coming. He wanted to hear the loudest(最大声的) noise in the world. So all the people must shout together at twelve o'clock on his birthday.

    Everyone wanted to hear the loudest noise in the world. A boy said, "Let's just open our own mouths and listen." All the people heard about his idea.

    At twelve o'clock on the king's birthday, all the people just open their mouths and listen. They heard the sounds of the birds and the rivers.

    The king said, "What nice sounds! I like them." After that, the Noise Kingdom became quiet. People did everything quietly.

    Mrs. Li has a happy family. She is 40 years old. She is a doctor. She likes singing and dancing. Her husband is 42 years old. He is a factory worker. He likes playing football and basketball. They have a son and a daughter. Their son is 10 years old. He is very lovely and handsome. He is a primary school student. He likes drawing pictures. Their daughter is 15 years old . She is clever and pretty. She is a junior high school student. She likes singing and dancing. They have a good neighbour. His name is Jones. He is very kind . They often help each other.

    Mr Jones was very angry with his wife．And Mrs Jones was very angry with her husband．For a few days，they didn't speak to each other．One evening，Mr Jones was very tired when he came back from work，so he went to bed soon after he had dinner．Mrs Jones washed the dishes and did some sewing．When she went to bed much later than her husband，she found a piece of paper on the small table near her bed．On it was the words：“Mother，wake me rup at 7 a．m．tomorrow．  一Father．”The next morning，  Mr Jones found a piece of paper on the table，too．On it was the words：“Father，wake up．It is 7 a．m．一Mother．”

    Little Justin was born in the river. It is spring . He is small and black . He looks around. He can not find his mum .

Justin :Mum , where are you ?

    Soon he has a round head and a long tail . He meets a fish in the river . She also has a round head and a long tail .

Justin :Mum ?

Fish :No . I'm not your mum . Your mum has four legs . She's green and she has no tail.

    Later, Little Justin has four legs . He is green . He meets a turtle .

Justin :Are you my mum ?

Turtle :No, I'm not your mum . Your mum has a big mouth . She can catch flies .
