Toby, an 11-year old boy, is playing with a ball. The ball goes into the street and Toby runs for the ball.
A car hits (碰撞) Toby. An ambulance (救护车) takes Toby to the hospital in 30 minutes. The doctors at the hospital tell Toby's parents, "Toby is in a coma."
Every day, Toby's parents visit him at the hospital. They sit next to Toby's bed and talk to him. But Toby never talks to them. He just sleeps.
One day Toby's father says, "Wake up, Toby. Wake up, come home and play with Rusty." Rusty is Toby's dog.
When Toby's father says "Rusty", Toby moves his arm. "Rusty!" Toby's father says again. Again. Toby moves his arm.
Toby's parents have an idea. They tell the nurse,
"We want to bring Toby's dog to the hospital." The nurse says "OK".
The next day, Toby's parents bring Rusty to the hospital. When they put the dog on Toby's bed, Toby opens his eyes and hugs the dog.
Toby's parents bring Rusty to the hospital every day. One day, Rusty jumps onto Toby's bed and scratches (抓) his arm. Toby says his first words. "Bad dog!"
After eight weeks. Toby is well. He leaves the hospital and goes home.

The tiger is the largest wild cat in the world. It is the king of animals. Tigers often eat 5kg of meat for a meal. Tigers can see very well in the dark. They often hunt at night. Sometimes they can eat 27kg of meat at one night. Most members of the cat family dislike water, but tigers enjoy water. They are good at swimming. Many animals live in groups, but tigers live alone (单独地),except for (除了) mothers and their young babies. A mother tiger usually has two or three babies at one time. She takes care of them by herself.
There were eight kinds of tigers in the world, but three of them died out (灭绝). There are only about 3200 wild tigers in the world now because people kill tigers and destroy the places where they live.
These days, the Puy du Fou theme park in Westerm France welcomed six very special cleaners—Boubou, Bamboo, Bill, Black, Bricole and Baco. They are six crows (乌鸦)!As part of the daily show, the theme park has already trained the crows to pick up roses and bring them to a "princess" in a castle (城堡).
Workers at the park have taught the crows to pick up small pieces of rubbish. The crows move the rubbish (垃圾) into a small box. After belping to clean the park, they get bird food for their hard work.
"The park is very clean." Nicolas de Villiers, the head of the park, said, "The purpose of the crows is to teach people to open up their minds to think."
As a regular (定期的) visitor to the park, Simons, ever said after watching it, "OK! The birds are able to do something that we are much more able to do than them. It shows that we humans cannot throw rubbish everywhere."
Earlier this year, Josh Klein taught the crows to collect money and drop it in a special machine. After six months of training, he found that the crows could remember how to get food by working.
