I am Sam. Today is Friday and it is a big day for our class. We would go on a trip to meet the national football team and visit some of the best football players in our country. How exciting!
We were asked to meet at the school gate early this morning. Before we left the school yesterday, our teacher told us to be on time. "Be here before 7:30 tomorrow morning. If you are late, the school bus will leave without you. "
Last night, I was so excited that I could not fall asleep until late night. When the alarm clock（闹钟）woke me up this morning, it was 6:30. "It is only a 30-minute bus ride from home to school. I still have a lot of time. " I thought. I hit the OFF button on the alarm clock and went back to sleep. I just wanted to sleep for five more minutes.
Then all of a sudden, I woke up. It was almost 7 o'clock! "Oh no! I should be on my bus at this time!" I shouted. I ran to the bus station. It seemed that the bus would never arrive. There was no taxi in sight either. After waiting at the bus station for ten minutes, I called my parents and they drove me to school. But it was already 8:15 when I arrived there. The school bus had left.
What a pity! I missed the chance of a lifetime!
