I'm Sarah Smith, a 25-year-old girl. I live in a big city in the south of the United States. My (爱好) is growing vegetables and flowers on my balcony (阳台). I think nothing makes the (环境) in big cities with tall buildings better than green plants.
More than ten years ago, I moved into a new ( 公寓套房) with a small balcony. I spent some money (用颜料画) the balcony and was successful in turning it into a"garden (花园)". From then on, when I'm free, I always work in the"garden"of my (自己的). There I grow different kinds of vegetables and flowers.
Working on my balcony has many benefits (好处). It helps me get some exercise. This is good for my (身体的)health. It also helps me get some fresh vegetables like tomatoes and carrots to eat. In this way, I can save lots of money on food. What's more, it can play a(n) (部分) in helping make my city more beautiful.
Now it is summer and there are (已经) many vegetables and flowers on my balcony. Sometimes I (烹饪) meals with the vegetables. And the balcony looks very beautiful with green plants. I (相信) that my city will look more beautiful if more people grow some vegetables or flowers on their balconies.
