In order to encourage students take outdoor activities, our school organized a mountain-climbing activity at July 10th. Hundreds of us took the part in it. It was a nice day. At 8:00, we gathered at the foot of Jinyun Mountain to set out for the top in high spirits. Along the way, we chatted, sang and laugh, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful sceneries. When some students fell behind, other would come and offer help. About 2 hours late, we all reached the top. Bathing in the sunshine, the distant city looked fantastic but we jumped and cheered with joy.
This activity benefited us a lot. Not only did it get us close to nature and give us relaxation from heavy homework, but it also promoted friendship among us. What wonderful a trip it was!
