China's railway system will run on a new schedule from Wednesday that adds more passengers and freight （货物） trains to support the country's social and economic（经济）development，China State Railway Group，said on Tuesday.
The new schedule will feature 11，075 passenger trains a day，449 more than before. There will also be 42 more freight train services working each day，224.
The group said the new high﹣speed railway line linking Guizhou Province and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region，which opened on August 31，will improve connections between southwestern and southern China.
The 857﹣kilometer line，linking Guiyang and Guangzhou，will travel at a top speed of 300km/h，down to 3 hours and 39 minutes.

At first，the guqin had only five strings，representing the five elements of metal，wood，water，② and earth.Later in the Zhou dynasty（王朝），King Wen of Zhou added a sixth string for his son.King Wu of Zhou，added a seventh string to encourage his army to fight with the Shang.

"Dong"is one of China's 55 ethnic minorities （少数民族），with a population of less than three million，mainly living in South China. The ethnic group is well known for its （tradition）embroidery （刺绣），which has long been passed down from generation to generation.
Qin Naishiqing is Dong embroidery master（大师）. At the age of 91，she is still good at （cut） paper patterns，which she says is the spirit of the handmade art. "You should be very skillful in embroidery （become） good at paper cutting. When you get a piece of paper，you should form a picture of the patterns in your mind without （actual） drawing them，"Qin said.
Teaching embroidery is a family tradition，and Qin's two daughters﹣in﹣law usually join（she） in teaching youngsters. Dong people usually embroider animals and plants on clothes. Phoenixes （凤凰），dragons and flowers are common patterns featured in folk art. Spider flowers are very important meaningful in Dong people's embroidery patterns and they are seen as a symbol of good wishes.

When she gets married, she will traditionally receive a whole set of clothes, including a wedding dress, made her mother.
