Many people exercise by using an app in WeChat. It is called WeRun. WeRun lets us see our everyday step counts(步数). One of its most popular things is a leaderboard(排行榜)among friends. We can see how our results are different from other people. Now more and more people use WeRun, from the young to the old. We wonder how much we can learn about a person from his step counts. Here let's have a look:
Less than 50 steps: Anyone who takes less than 50 steps in one day may be ill or sad, or he is just too lazy to get out of the bed.
50—500 steps: It's easy to have a few hundred steps. For example, going shopping will be enough.
501—8, 000 steps: Most students and workers will take between 501 and 8, 000 steps a day. These step counts are often in the middle of the leaderboard.
8, 001—30, 000 steps: Salespeople and P. E. teachers often take so many steps a day because they are always on the move.
More than 30, 000 steps: Mostly, these step counts can be on the top of the leaderboard. They are policemen, reporters, cleaners and so on. They are the people who help us live easy and comfortable lives.
As the number of people who use WeRun is growing, a person's WeRun data can show his or her character and personal life.

We all know health is the most important in our life and we know smoking is bad for people's health. But not many people know about the danger of second-hand smoke (二手烟).
Second-hand smoke is the smoke that comes from the smoker's breath. If people get second-hand smoke from time to time, they could get ill from it. It can make people get lung cancer (肺癌) and many other illnesses more easily.
But how bad is the problem of the second-hand smoke? The World Health Organization(WHO)did a study of 194 countries. They found that about 600, 000 people die every year because of second-hand smoke. It makes a lot of problems.
Second-hand smoke is especially (尤其) bad for children because their bodies are growing. The study also shows that around 165, 000 children under 5 die each year because of second-hand smoke. Most of these children are from Africa and Southern Asia where health care is very poor.
You can do something to keep yourself and other people away from second-hand smoke. You can ask the smokers, such as your parents, to smoke outside. And if someone smokes close to you, you'd better hold your breath or just walk away.
Healthy eating doesn't just mean what you eat, but how you eat. Here is some advice on healthy eating.
Eat a big breakfast. Eat much and eat well, and you will do better in your work or study.
We all need snacks sometimes. In fact, it's a good idea to eat healthy snacks between your meals. This doesn't mean that you can eat a bag of chips (炸薯条) instead of a meal.
Eat with others. It can help you to see others' healthy eating habits. You will find that the food is more delicious.
Listen to your body. Have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty—sometimes you are just thirsty, you need no food. Stop eating before you feel full. Never eat dinner late.
This will give your body a chance to digest (消化) most of the food before you rest for the next 8—10 hours.
A. Ask yourself whether you are really hungry.
B. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed.
C. While eating, you can talk about something interesting.
D. Without eating for the past ten hours, your body needs food.
E. Healthy snacks like fruit and nuts (坚果) are necessary.
