Hello, I'm Tim. I went to Shanghai with my friend Jack last year. We went there in April. We thought it was the best to go there. The weather was quite good and there were not too many people at that time.
We stayed there for seven days. We stayed in a nice hotel on Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road was a busy shopping street of Shanghai and it was quite famous. We went shopping there. And we spent too much money on expensive things. We also visited many other famous places, such as the Bund and Chongming Island. We liked Yu Garden best. It was a beautiful garden. We took a walk in the garden. We saw many trees and beautiful flowers there. Shanghai food tasted really good. Everything was excellent.
We enjoyed the trip to Shanghai and look forward to going there again.
Long time ago, there were two talented boys, John and Joey. They showed great talents from an early age, and they did better than others around.
They grew up but they chose different ways. John used all of his talents to find a good job. He joined in many activities and visited the most important people and places. Everyone thought that he would be the most important person in the world.
▲ He always took a heavy responsibility (责任). He thought he should help others. He was always busy looking for ways to help others.
One day, bad things happened (发生) and they met many problems. John didn't know what to do. But Joey always tried his best to solve (解决) all kinds of problems. He thought some good ways and didn't let the bad things affect (影响)the people in his town. From then on, he was more famous than John.
John then knew that our best talents are not only for ourselves. He learned from Joey that we should always help other people.
What do people usually like to do in their free time? Different people have different answers. Some people like watching TV, because they think it has lots of advantages.
First, watching TV can give us a good rest. After a day's hard work, we need a good rest. Watching TV can make us relaxed because of the happy music and TV plays.
Besides, watching TV is entertaining(娱乐性的). There are many kinds of entertainments, like sports activities, entertainments, plays and films all over the world at any time. It's impossible for us to go to every place to enjoy all the activities in a short time. We need more than ten hours to fly from New York to Paris, a week by train from Beijing to Moscow. But just one second, TV can bring us from a basketball game in New York to a fashion show in Paris by changing channels(频道).
Most importantly, watching TV is educational. Children can learn different kinds of subjects through the educational programs and the special reports on TV. It's easy for them to learn Chinese from a Chinese teacher in Beijing and to learn Russian from a Russian teacher in Moscow. We can even learn how to act well from the TV plays and a teacher can teach many students without a huge classroom.
Bill and Jane in the picture are getting on the boat to Qingrendao, Hainan. They will join in a program called I'm In China for one day.
About 500 people from across the world come to it to have different experiences(经历).
Chengdu, Sichuan is the first stop of the I'm In China program. The participants(参与者)can care about pandas' life, together with zoo keepers. They can learn kungfu at Shaolin Temple in Henan. They can be a high-speed train worker in Wuhan, Hubei. And they can learn how to make hand-pulled noodles(拉面) in Lanzhou, Gansu. In fact, for most foreigners, one of their biggest wishes is to see pandas before coming to China.
I'm In China opens a new door for China to the world. The program welcomes foreign friends to see China for themselves. Through the program, the outside world can know more about China. The workers of the program will choose the best from those 500 people. These best people will work as ambassadors (大使)to share their real experiences of Chinese culture with the world.
A. It is a new reality show(真人秀)on TV. B. There are many kinds of activities in the program. C. They are like a bridge between China and the world. D. Taking care of pandas in Chengdu is the most popular activity. E. By joining it, they can find out what everyday life is like in China. |
We can use robots in many different places now, but robots don't have a1 history. We usually see robots in the films. The robots in these films are2 , faster and cleverer than people. In real life, people 3 robots in factories most of the time. Robots can do many dangerous, difficult or boring jobs for 4 . Some people can't look after themselves but robots can help them in everyday5 . For example, some blind (盲人) people use dogs to help themselves6 around. These dogs are guide (向导) dogs. And now scientists are making a robot to 7 these people. In the future, robot dogs may take the place of these guide dogs. And these robot dogs can help blind people to do many other useful things.
People also use robots in some American 8 . At one hospital, a robot takes meals from the kitchen to sick people's rooms. It never 9 its way because it has a map of the hospital in its computer system (系统). In the future, robots will work in many different ways. But robots will 10 take the place of human (人类).
What will life in the future be like? I think life in the future will be more comfortablenow. Because there( be)fewer people living on the earth in the future. We may live on another planet. There is no(pollute) and people will plant(many)trees and flowers on it. The environment on that planet may be better than that on the earth.
People will get thererocket. And they won't spend a lot of money(travel) on the rocket, because it will be very cheap. Before the trip, everyone will only need to buyticket and a spacesuit(太空服).
The spacesuit will make people do things(easy) on the planet. There will be houses, banks and shops on the planet. If people want to buy something, they(take) out their credit cards(信用卡) to pay for them.
Do you want (live) a wonderful life like this?
