My name is Li Jin. I am a boy from Gulangyu. It is where I am from. Do you know Gulangyu? It is in Xiamen, a beautiful city in Fujian. It is near Zhejiang and Guangdong. It is near the sea, so you can always see ships come and go. Gulangyu is a small place, but it is very nice and clean. There are no cars, no buses and no bikes. People walk and take ships. So it is very quiet.
Our house is in the middle of Gulangyu. In front of our house, there is a nice garden with a big tree. My grandfather tells me that the tree is very old. His parents planted it years ago. There are many birds in the tree. So we call it "bird-tree". I like listening to the birds sing. I also like watching the sea. It is big and blue. There are a lot of fish in it. After school, I like going there to catch some fish with my friends.
What an interesting and nice place I live in! I love my hometown.

You can write down everything you eat for one week. If can, take photos and notes of your meals. That way, you'll have a clearer picture of what you eat.

The Duku Highway(公路)
The beautiful and famous Duku Highway connects Dushanzi to Kuche in Xinjiang. Many families with children take a trip there during the summer holiday for the scenes(景色) along the Duku Highway are the most beautiful at this time of a year.
However, having so many people are not always a good thing. On the highway, too many cars make traffic jams(堵车). Sometimes, cars and buses cannot even move(移动) fifty metres in an hour. What's more, more tourists also bring more rubbish. And the rubbish could be eaten by animals and do harm(危害)to them.
When you are hiking on a hill or walking on the grassland, it is really interesting. But please remember to make better plans and take away your own rubbish when travelling.
