This is a sad and true event, the day after September 16th at 4pm, a heartbreaking traffic accident occurred in Zigong, Sichuan. Two little girls rushed out of the road, on a bicycle, was knocked down by a car, one girl died on the spot. She's not even 12 years old. Her parents did not see her on the last moment and the other girl lost her life in hospital rescue. They are all the only child in the family. I was deeply shocked when I heard this event. 

Schools, society, and families have always emphasized the importance of safety. What should we do? As middle school students, we must always keep traffic safety in mind, especially after leaving school, it is strictly prohibited to ride three vehicles, shared bicycles, electric bicycles, and motorcycles. Safety is no small matter, don't take it lightly. I hope we can grow safely, healthily, and happily. 

The opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou was a big display of Chinese culture and innovation（创新）. 

On September 23rd , Chinese President Xi Jinping attended and declared（宣布） the opening of the games. This was a big day for the whole of Asia. More than 12. 000 athletes from 45 countries and regions came to Hangzhou to compete. 

The ceremony was a feast（盛宴） for the senses with surprising visuals （视觉）, innovative performances, and a moving tribute （致敬）to the history and culture of Asia. Congcong, Lianlian and Chenchen are the three mascots. 

The ceremony was themed "Memories of Jiangnan" using the element（元素） of water to show the region's natural beauty and cultural charm(魅力). The ceremony included elements of Liangzhu culture and the Qiantang River tides, it also reflected China's long history and culture. The opening ceremony also broke new technology, using digital humans for the first time to integrate（融入） the concept（概念） of " Digital China " Into the ceremony. 

Walt Disney was born in 1901. He created the Mickey Mouse in 1927. He died in 1966, but his works and dreams did not die. Now people all over the world enjoy his Mickey Mouse and other cartoons. One summer, Walt Disney wanted a job in a post office, but they told him that he was too young. He went home, drew some lines on his face, and put on his father's suit and hat.  Later in his life, Walt Disney had a dream, that was to build a new kind of amusement park. It would be clean and beautiful. There would be rides for children and nice hotels for adults. Walt Disney drew a plan for this park. It was called Disneyland. Engineers told him it was an impossible dream. His family and friends thought he was mad （ 疯 了）. But Walt Disney did not give up his idea. In 1955, Disneyland opened to the public and became the most successful amusement park in the USA.

What a difference a day (make)! My father and I decided to go to Penang Hill today. We wanted to walk  to the top, but then it  (start)raining a little  we decided  (take) the train. We waited over  hour for the train because there were too many people. When we got to the top, it was raining  (real) hard. We didn't have an umbrella , we were wet and cold. It was terrible! And because of the  (good)weather we couldn't see  (nothing) below. My father (not bring)enough money, so we only had one bowl of rice and some fish. The food tasted great, oh, I was so hungry! 

Today, there are many popular TV talent shows all over China. There talent shows give everyone a chance(机会) to show his or her talents. For some lucky people, these talent shows may make them become famous. 

However, there are also many bad sides. First, some young people just imitate( 效 防 ) the people they admire( 敬 佩 ). They lose their own style. Second, the young people spend too much time on such TV shows. They always dream of being a star. So they spend less time on their studies. 

In my opinion, these shows are social activities(社会活动). Young people can take part in these activities to get some social experience(经验). But they should know that the chance to become famous is small for most people, So they should work hard on their studies.
