"Why do you worry about winter? Just look around. There is enough food now." said the grasshopper.
The ant just shook his head and went on with his work. Back and forth, little by little, he carried the food to his home. The grasshopper still 8 his jumping and singing in the sunshine.
When autumn came, the days were getting shorter and the nights were becoming cooler. The ant was more hardworking than ever, 9 the grasshopper passed his time lazily.

①"Beep, beep," goes the car horn. You've got dressed, but you haven't got time to eat breakfast. You run out of the front door and jump into waiting car. In the car, your friends say "Hey" as one of their parents drives you to school. This is the daily car pooling to school.
②Car pooling is a common way for many students in the US. You, along with many of your friends, can sit in the car, and share the journey to school each day. Parents may take turns to drive you all to school. Here are some good points that may catch your eyes.
③What do you do in the car? If you have no time for breakfast, you can have it in the car. If you're behind on your homework, you still have time to finish it before class. Some students can just sleep more before classes begin.
④Besides walking or cycling to school, car pooling is energy-efficient if you can't take the school bus. Instead of four cars taking four students to school each day, they can all share one car. Think of how much ▲ you can save!
⑤More importantly, car pooling teaches students life lessons not taught in class. It can teach students about the social responsibility of being on time. If you are late, then all of your friends will be late too.
Once upon a time, there lived a teacher in a small town. He often taught his students in special ways. His students said they respected him deeply because their teacher always taught them what kind of people they should be in their life. Once he sent four of his students to go to a small farm to see apple trees in different seasons. The first student went in winter, the second in spring, the third in summer and the fourth in autumn.
After the four students came back a year later, the teacher called them together. They pictured their feelings to the teacher. The first student said that there were no leaves on the trees. It made him very unhappy. It was boring. The second student said his eyes were full of light green. He wanted to try doing something new when he saw these green leaves. The third one didn't agree with them,"What are you talking about? There were lots of beautiful flowers on the trees. The sweet smell spread here and there." The last one shook his head. He said, "I didn't see the beautiful flowers, but I saw big apples on the trees."
The teacher smiled and told his students they were all right. They each just saw one season. He said, "The trees are not seen in different seasons. You can't judge a tree by only one season. Don't let the regret of one season destroy the beauty of the rest."
What a good lesson! Everything has different sides in our life. Don't hurry to make a conclusion before seeing the whole of it.
