Not Even Wrong
My eight-year-old son, lack, is a boy with autism(孤独症). Even though I always hear from others that he is very bright and he is making enough progress to meet goals, I am still anxious walking into their parents' meetings.
Last fall's parents' meeting was even worse for me. I noticed Jack making a great effort to keep up with others. Some parents watched Jack and whispered(窃窃私语) and no children were willing to play with him. I started to see the social divide between Jack and his peers(同龄人) widening.
After the parents' meeting, his teacher spent long time talking to me. She told me that it was getting more difficult for Jack to meet goals just because he was bright. Some teachers and students always complained(抱怨)about Jack's actions. She also advised me to think about whether the normal class was the best setting for him. Hearing these words, I was very upset.
Then she blew my mind. She showed me one example of Jack's works and said,"I didn't know how to grade this. It's not oven wrong, but it's not right. "I grasped when she said"not even wrong",which is the name of one of my favorite books on autism, by Paul Collins. The book says a girl whose idea is so far off base but it is not even wrong. It perfectly describes autism and it perfectly describes Jack.
In his book, Paul Collins wrote,"Children with autism are like the square pegs(钉,桩). Hitting a square peg into a round hole is hard work. What's worse, it's destroying the square pegs. "
As a mother of a boy with autism, I want to help find more square holes. I want this world to be a world where it is okay to be a square peg without having to pretend to be round. We have been hammering(锤打) square pegs into round holes for a long time. Now we should put down the hammers. And I hope that some of those kids told their parents. And I hope that some of you read this and tell your kids. And I hope that we, all of us together, CAN change the world.

How to Be Fruitful During Hard Times
When we are fighting tooth and nail, or when we have difficulty concentrating, we may turn to others for help. We may even wish we had a hero to help us. Well, today here is some advice for you.
Turn ourselves into our own heroes.
When we make ourselves heroes, we not only gain focus but also a sense of purpose. For example, it can give us hope as stories in the books often do. In stories, writers often give their hero, the main person in the story, a purpose.
Write out our tasks and ideas.
In stories, heroes also have tasks, which they want to finish, and ideas, which they see for themselves. So we can write out our tasks and ideas, not just for a project but for our life as well. With clear tasks and ideas, events. in our life no longer seem to be separate events. There's just a lot of value in having tasks and ideas.
When we know our strengths, we can use them fully. In difficult times, we can make our life easier by focusing on our strengths. It is even more important to identify weaknesses. All heroes have them. On their journey they face their weaknesses and learn from them.
Have small goals within a larger goal.
As we know, the hero's journey is not a one-time thing. It is a journey we are on in our entire life. Our life's journey is ongoing and ever-changing. We should be realistic with our goals and to be kind to ourselves, especially during difficult times.
A. Learn from heroes in stories.
B. Know our strengths and weaknesses.
C. We often live a life without purpose.
D. They become part of our larger stories.
E. So have small goals that we can measure in some way.
F. We can do the same for ourselves and identify our purposes.
G. Making ourselves the heroes in our own stories helps us in many ways.

I had8 seen her before. The music was so nice that I listened quietly. Lost in the music,I didn't know that I had been9 there for so long but my existence(存在) did not seem to disturb her.
Leaves were still falling. Every day10 she played the violin in the corner of the building I went downstairs to watch her performance. I was the only listener . The autumn seemed no longer lonely and life became11 . Though we didn't know each other, I thought we were already good friends. I believe she also loved me.
Autumn was nearly over . One day, when I was listening carefully, the sound suddenly12 . To my surprise, the girl came over. to me.
"You must like violin. "she said.
"Yes. And you play very well. Why did you stop?"I asked.
Suddenly, a13 expression appeared on her face and I could feel something unusual. "I came here to see my grandmother, but now I must leave. I once played very badly. It was your listening every day that encouraged me. "she said.
"14 it was your playing that gave me a meaningful autumn,"I answered,"Let's be friends. "The girl smiled, and so did I.
I never heard her play again in my life. I no longer went downstairs to listen like before. Only Thick leaves were left behind. But I will always remember the fine15 of the girl. She is like a dream-so short, so bright, like a shooting star giving off so much light that it makes the autumn beautiful.
