It was 7:00 in the morning. My cousin Jenny woke me up. It was the summer vacation, and she started talking about the camping place. We went there every year.
After I got out of bed and got1 ，I had breakfast with her. At the same time my dad was talking with2 brother Paul about going to the mountains near the lake.
After talking about it, we decided3 to the mountains and we prepared(准备) drinking water food, clothes, tents and4 things.
We arrived there in the evening and then we began to have fun. My father and my uncle put up tents and my mother and my aunt cooked dinner. My cousins and I played5 interesting game and we also made a bonfire(篝火).All of us danced around it. We6 a lot of firewood(木柴)to keep the bonfire going.
We just slept for7 hours and got up very early the next day. We went fishing by the lake after eating breakfast.The water was so cold,8 the weather was fine.Two hours later, we wanted to climb the mountains. We prepared all the things we needed in the climbing.

I'm Denny. I went on a trip to Paris this summer with my mother. We1 there for two weeks.
Going to Paris was very2 for me because it was my first time on a plane! I was so happy and also a little afraid. My mother made all the plans(计划).We decided not to live in a hotel.Hotels are very expensive in Paris. We stayed at my aunt's3 near Paris, so I could visit the city every day with my mother.
Although the4 was hot,I didn't mind it. There were so many things to do and I was very5 ! Paris is a great city. For me it is like a big6 .Walking in the city made me learn much about the place.
Over the two weeks, we did different7 every day. First, my mother and I8 some very famous(著名的) places like the Champs-Élysées and the Eiffel Tower. Then we went to the Louvre Museum and saw the Mona Lisa. At last, we took the train to visit Disneyland. There we9 Space Mountain and it was very exciting. Also, we took lots of pictures.
All in all, I had a(n)10 time in Paris.I loved everything about the city. I will go there again next summer.

You're complaining（抱怨）to your parents about something. Maybe your computer isn't good enough to play the new games. Or your friends' bikes are better than yours. Then you hear…
"When I was at your age, there weren't any computer games or video games. And I didn't get a bike until I was 16. And it was a second-hand bike. Also it was too big for me!"
So, is it really true that life is better for kids now? The answer is yes. Many kids can get more things than their parents. There are fewer children in a family now, so parents have more money to spend on each children.
Technology（科技）started bringing many changes（变化）to our world after 1990. Thirty years ago, there were no small computers or different kinds of smart phones. But now some people even can't live without them!
However, in this technology age, we often spend more time at home. Kids aren't as healthy as they were in the past because they don't spend their time on exercise. They surf the Internet and watch TV in their free time. And, although young people still keep in touch（保持联系）with their friends, some people think kids today aren't as sociable as they were in the past.

Life sometimes is not easy for students. Li Yang, 14-year-old boy from Shandong Province, is in a boarding school(寄宿学校). His father died in a car accident(事故) three years ago, and he lived with his morning the country. To give Li Yang a good education (教育), the mom took to the boarding school.
One year later, the teacher told the mom that Li Yang wanted to leave school. He hardly joined the activities at school. What's more, he wasn't to others, so he always fought with his schoolmates.
He also disliked studying and listened to the teacher in class. He did nothing at school and felt bored every day. The mother worried so much she took a10-hour train and 3-hour bus to the school. She had a long talk with her son. After that, Li Yang knew that his mom loved him so much and that he should try to do everything well. From then on, he changed(改变)a lot. His mother was so to see these changes.
Now, he is one of the top ten in his class."I want to be the pride(骄傲) of my mom now I make it!" Li Yang says.
We heard a lot of stories about New Caledonia, because my father and my mother lived there for a year when they were young. I went to New Caledonia with my father and my elder brother last year.
We stayed there for 3 weeks. It was August in France, and it was summer. In New Caledonia,it was winter, but winter there was like summer at home. It was very hot.
It took us a long time to get to New Caledonia.We took the train to Paris, and then we took the plane for 22 hours! We still made a stop in Japan before arriving in Nouméa, the capital(首都) of New Caledonia.
In this trip, we did not stay in the same place for 3 weeks. We went around the main island (主岛), and we also visited other two small islands.
The views were very different in New Caledonia: we could see white beaches and in the center of the beaches we could find forests. An interesting finding was that the earth (土壤) there was red. What' s more; there were hills in the North and bushes (灌木丛) in the West.
It was a very nice trip, because the views were beautiful there and the people were very kind. I will visit there again!
