Larry's mother doesn't see him come out. ,
She comes to Larry's room and hears him reading. She is angry. She asks," What are you reading, Larry?""

The tradition of birthday began a long time ago. You can find some traditions, everywhere, such as sending birthday cards, blowing out the candles on a birthday cake and; singing the Happy Birthday song. But there are also some different traditions in some countries.
In China, on a. child's: second: birthday, people put many different things on the floor around the child. The child should pick up one of them and the thing means his future (未来).
In Egypt, when a child turns one year old, people will use flowers and fruit to decorate (装饰) the party. They will dance and sing in the party. .
In many English speaking countries, a twenty—first birthday cake often has a key on the top (上方). Sometimes people make cakes in the shape of a key. The key means that the person can leave. (离开) and enter (进人) the family home at any time they want to.
There are so many bikes, cars and buses on the roads, so we must obey the traffic rules all the time.
Children under 12 cannot ride bikes on the street. When we ride bikes, we should keep both hands on the handlebars (把手). We should ride bikes on the right of the road in our country.
Like drivers of cars or buses, we must follow all traffic signs. All of us know we must not turn left or go across the street at a red traffic light. Usually, we can turn right, but we shouldn't ride too fast. If we want to turn or stop, we must give a. sign to others.

Yesterday was (she) birthday. She celebrated it with her classmates at home. Carrie's friends gave her many (present) like flowers and cards, and she (buy) a big cake and lots of drinks for the party.
