Weifang in Shandong province is famous for the kites. It has a long history of kites. At first, only the army (军队) used kites and people 1 used kites. The army used kites to measure distances (测量距离). During the Ming Dynasty (朝代)，kites became 2 in China because many people liked to make kites and fly kites. Kites are made of bamboo. There are traditional Chinese 3 on them such as Monkey King and Nezha.

④How's the Weather?
It's always very cold and windy here. There is snow everywhere. The wind blows all year long. In winter the lowest temperature can be-60℃.

It's very cold, and there is very little oxygen here. Not many animals can live. Yaks may be the only kind of animals you can find here. Yaks have long hair to keep them warm. They are very strong and able to keep their feet on narrow ways. People keep them for milk, meat and riding. They call yaks "the ships of the highland".

Potatoes provide as much fiber as and more potassium than other common vegetables or fruit. They also have lots of Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, magnesium and small amounts of protein.
