Little Anna is 5 years old. One day, she was invited to one of her friends' birthday party. But she didn't have a suitable dress for the party. Luckily, Anna's mother was good at sewing（缝补）. The night before the party, Anna got a very beautiful dress from her mother. The dress, which was red with a light blue collar（衣领）, fitted Anna perfectly.

The next day, Anna put on the new dress and went to the party. On the way, there was a forest. Anna got her dress a little broken when passing some bushes（灌木丛）. However, Anna was too happy to notice. Then, she stepped on a stone and fell to the ground. The dress got some dirt on it. Still, Anna was so anxious about the party that she did not pay any attention to her dress.

Finally, Anna got to the party. Everyone was surprised when they saw this little happy girl and her dress. Anna kept smiling and did not look down at the dress. She played and danced with her friends happily. They all had a good time. And people said that Anna was beautiful.

Arriving home, Anna looked in the minor and cried. She couldn't understand why people admired（崇拜）her though her dress was messy（脏乱）. Her mother came and told her that she was beautiful not because of her dress, but her smile.

In the American film Kung Fu Panda, people can hear the sound made by a Chinese traditional musical instrument Erhu. The smooth sound seems to bring a sad and lonely feeling to the listeners.

Actually（事实上）, Erhu is very popular in West erm movies. Many music directors feel that this instrument can add colors and feelings to their films. When people watch these movies, they also enjoy the special music of Erhu.

Erhu also called nanhu, is known as Chinese violin in the West, but in many ways they are different. Like the violin, Erhu is a stringed（有弦的）instrument made of natural wood and played with a bow（弓）, but the violin has four strings while Erhu has only two. The sounds made by each instrument are different.

Erhu was invented in Tang Dynasty（AD 618-907）. In Chinese characters, "Er"is believed to come from the fact that it has two strings; and "hu" means the Western area of China, which is the Silk Road area.

In Chinese folk music, Erhu is well-known for its sad and blue sounds. The most famous piece is Erguan Yingyue. It was written by a musician who was born blind and lived most of his short life as a homeless person. Erhu can not only express sad and blue feeling, but also can produce happy, exciting and lively melody（旋律）, such as the famous piece Horse-racing.

The music of Erhu is close to our hearts. As an American director said, "I used Erhu in my movie though it had nothing to do with Chinese culture. I just wanted to show that the instrument had the ability（能力）to express deeper feelings than a violin. "

I travel a lot. Each month, I pack up my suitcase to hit the road. Whether it could be by plane, train or car. I always find myself with the same problem-how to stay healthy while traveling? .

Because of low humidity（湿度）on planes, many of us can find ourselves feel thirstier than ever. Drink more water. Make sure when travailing on day trips to carry water with you at all times. As a result, you will eat more healthily through out the day.

When I was 5，I had many friends. Almost every kid liked to play with me I always shared my toy cars with others. Never be mean（吝啬）if you want to be a good friend.

At 11，it was my time to be the leader of the soccer team. I was also the best player. At the beginning，I wasn't the leader and I was the weakest player. Then I harder and harder. I tried my best to catch up with the team. After hard work，I became a good player. Some of my team wanted to make friends with me. If you want to be a good friend，always remember to make yourself become much .

Now I'm 14. I'm good at on math and my best friend is good at history. We often help each other. Many of my classmates are weak in math. They come to ask for help. They become my friends as well. Be a helpful study partner if you want to be a good friend. Make yourself into a good friend and you' ll never walk alone.

I still remembered the first day I met Jane. When she walked into the classroom, we were very surprised because was a big red birthmark（胎记）on her face. After that, some bad boys played jokes on her. But instead of getting angry, she always smiled.

I wondered Jane could always be so happy. So one day, I asked the reason. "The mark really makes me special. I decide what I look like, but I can decide what I want to be. I'm much luckier those who were born with no arms or legs. At least I'm healthy person. "Jane said.

Jane's words opened a new world for me. If I look at the world in a bright way, something bad can become gifts.
