One day, my father and I were walking by the sea. A young boy was picking up starfish(海星) and throwing them into the sea. We felt very surprised.
"1 are you doing this?" my father asked.

Once there was a man named Colonel Sanders. After running a restaurant for years in Kentucky, USA, he retired(退休) and found he was really poor. At the age of 65, he decided that he must make a difference to his life. He had a special chicken recipe(秘方) and his friends all loved it very much.

With that one success, Sanders brought new way of eating chicken to Americans. Then he started Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). Now KFC is famous around the world.
What's the key to his success? Maybe it's "keep on going and never give up".

I am always interested in food. My family lived on farm in Lincolnshire. My mother made excellent British food. my mother was cooking, I loved going down to the kitchen and watching her work.
