Dear humans,
It's the first time I write to you, my children. I used to send you many messages. But you always overlooked them. So I decide to write you a letter.
First, let me tell you more about our family. Dear humans, besides you, I have many other children. Some of them fly in the sky; some of them swim in water; some of them live in ice-covered places; some of them run in the grasslands.
Some of them are as small as your fingernails (手指甲) , such as bugs; some of them are as big as cars, such as elephants.
They might be very close to you, or even live in your house. But there are others that you may never have the chance to meet.
You bring them home to be your pets, friends, and helpers. You put them in zoos. You kill them for their meat and fur. And you even hunt them for fun. They bring you money and happiness. But they also bring you disease and death.
I hope you can remember that wild animals are not your food, clothes or furniture. They are not killers, either. They are, in fact, your brothers and sisters. You are equal. You should grow up together.
Humans, you are smart and hard-working. You created (创造) colourful cultures and advanced technologies. You can decide where you go, as well as where I go.

Usually in school or in clubs, children cannot ride a horse. But in Brixton, south London, there (be) a special club. There students are welcome (ride) a horse.
The Ebony Horse Club is riding school for children from poor families. It (begin) in 2011. Now, the club provides 140 rides per week for children. A four-day riding trip in Wales costs £70 per person, but horse riding lessons at the club are only £7 for children. This is a lot cheaper.
Naomi is also a horse riding teacher. She spends two days a week (look)after the stables (马厩)and giving the children riding lessons. Enjoying chrysanthemums has always been a tradition during the festival. In history it was also called "the Chrysanthemum Festival", as it is the flowering time of chrysanthemums. Poets, celebrates and nobles would have a feast to write poems to enjoy the elegance (高洁) of chrysanthemums. Today, people in big cities also enjoy beautiful chrysanthemums exhibitions (展览) with their family on this day.
Wearing dogwood (茱萸)
On this day, people like to wear a special plant. It is called dogwood. People in old times believed that the plant could drive away evil spirits and stop them from catching an illness in winter.
