Many people like eating chilies and they are good for health. In fact, we know that people have been growing chilies for years.
Here are three tips for growing chilies:

Fill an 8 cm pot with earth. There should be holes in the bottom of the pot, so water can runout. Put several seeds in the pot, and wait for the plants to grow. Put each plant in its own 8 cm pot when the plants reach about 2 cm high, and then put each of them in a 12 cm pot when the roots show through the holes in the bottom of the pot. Tie the plants to a stick to help them grow when they are 20 cm high. When the chilies are 30cm high, pick the tops off with your fingers. That should make new branches grow. When the first flowers show, give them some plant food to make them strong. When the weather is warm, put them outside. Make sure they get plenty of light and water. |

There are four seasons in my hometown in a year.
It's sunny and warm in spring. The temperature is from8℃ to 15℃. Everything begins to grow.
In summer it's hot and wet. In the southeast, there are many showers. And sometimes in the morning the sun shines, but in the afternoon it might be cloudy and windy. In this season, there are storms from time to time in the northwest, too. So you'd better take an umbrella when you go out. Please take your swimsuit if you want to swim.
The weather is cool in autumn and there are no clouds in the sky. It's not too dry in autumn.
In winter, it's very cold. But I like winter best. You may say, "You must be joking!" But it's true because it's snowy and everything is white. It's pleasant for me to take photos with my camera.

Fresh off his MasterChef Junior run, Evan Robinson, who is only 12 years old, is using his kitchen skills to raise money for Puerto Rico. The TV show contestant wanted to offer help after hurricanes(飓风) hit the country last September.
"I've been seeing, all over the news, people struggling, "Evan said." They can't get fresh water, e- lectricity; they can't get really anything. I know I'm just a kid, but I think if alot of people do something, a lot of things will get better. "
He raises money by baking and taking online orders for homemade empanadas(馅饼). He started cooking on a recent Friday night. By the next Sunday evening, he had filled orders for 420 empanadas— roasted chicken, cheeseburger and vegetarian-getting $18 for six empanadas and $30 for a dozen.
His mum, Veronica Robinson, helped him send the empanadas around the city. "We've never done anything like this before, "she said." But it's a great idea, so I want to help him make it work."
For Evan's out-of-town friends and supporters, he has set up a crowdfunding(众筹)page. Through it, he's hoping to raise $1500 in" virtual(虚拟的)empanadas" . This is because he heard on the news that it could take Puerto Rico years, maybe even 10 years, to recover(复原)from the hurricanes. And he said, "Fruit pies are up next. And my baking will continue as well. "
It's a difficult job, especially for a kid with homework and Boy Scouts and friendships to tend to. But he doesn't seem worried.
"It's what we're supposed to do, "he said." I'm a human. They're humans. Why shouldn't I help them?"

The earth is our home. We should take care of it. Life today is easier but there are some new prob- lems. One of the biggest problems is pollution. Pollution comes in many forms. It is beginning to harm our health and even our life.
Many years ago, the problem was not so serious because there weren't so many people. In other words, the more people, the more pollution. Now man is slowly polluting the whole world.
Air pollution is still the most serious. It's not good for living things in the world.
Many countries don't let people burn anything bad for air in houses and factories in the city. SO2is now the most dangerous pollution. It's partly caused by heavy traffic. People say it's best to ride bikes. But even in developed countries, most people don't go to work by bike. It's not because bikes are expensive or people are tired. It's because cars are more convenient(方便的), so more people go to work by car, and then the situation is getting worse and worse. We should make it so difficult and expensive for drivers to drive their cars into the city. They will go back to use their bikes.

Long ago, people did not need money. They lived on wild animals, fruit and other plants.

Later, people began to use money as a means of exchange. However, it was not the kind of money we use today. They used shells, rice, salt, large stones, ete.
During the 660s BC, people began using coins as money. They soon found that coins were easier to carry than goods and lasted a longer time. Later, countries began to make their own coins.
The Chinese were the first to use paper money, probably as early as the 11th century. The Italian traveler Marco Polo saw the Chinese using money when he visited China in the1200s. However, European countries did not start using paper money until the 1600s.
Today, we have many ways to pay for things. We do not use coins or paper money. Often, people prefer to pay for things by card. Paying with a card is easier and safer than carrying around a lot of "real" money.

We can't remember clearly since we started to take our mobiles to dinner table. This happens a lot,(especial) when we eat out. Once a dish comes,of lifting our chopsticks, we take out our mobiles and click. Later, we post the photos onto Weibo or We Chat, waiting to be "liked". Then we check our mobiles from time to time during the meal, to see whether we get "liked" not. We just cannot leave our mobiles for only a meal.
