Dear Mr/Ms,

    We are very pleased to welcome President William Taylor and Manager James Rogers to visit Beijing and Shanghai in April for about a week. We offer the following itinerary (行程表) for your consideration.

    When we travel from one country to another, we find people have quite different feelings about food. People often feel what they eat is normal(正常的), and what other people eat is strange(奇怪的)or silly. In most parts of Asia, for example, people like rice and meat. In England, people eat potatoes every day. In the Middle East, bread is the main part of every meal. Eating, like so many things we do, becomes a habit which is difficult to change. Americans like to drink a lot of orange juice and coffee. The English drink tea four or five times every day. Australians drink a great deal of beer, and the French drink wine every day.

    The sort of meat people like to eat is also different from one country to another. Horse meat is thought to be delicious in France. In Hong Kong, some people enjoy eating snakes. New Zealanders eat sheep meat, but they never eat goat meat. The Japanese don't like to eat sheep meat because of its smell, but they enjoy eating uncooked fish. People everywhere enjoy eating what they have always eaten, and there is very little we can do to change our eating habits.

    When Italians(意大利人) talk about their cooking to most foreigners, they always think of pizza first. But today's pizza is different from the old one. In the past, it was hard to make pizza. As years went by, the cooks used another way to make pizza. Then it was easier to make pizza.

    Long time ago, there were several kingdoms(王国) in Italy. Later, they became one country. During this time, Italians got some new ideas on cooking. The most interesting idea was to make pizza. The first pizza was not so delicious and did not look nice. So the cooks in Italy tried to make it better. Then this kind of food began to look nice and tasted delicious. Soon it became popular around the country. Most people liked it because it was cheap, nourishing(有营养的), simple to make and nice to eat.

    Now Americans eat more pizzas than Italians do every day. Maybe many people in China enjoying pizza as a meal. Do you like it?

    Clothes aren't only used to keep us warm, but also become an important part of our daily life.  We will have a good mood when we wear beautiful clothes. Young people like to choose fashionable clothes, and old people like to wear traditional clothes.

     There is no doubt(毫无疑问) the color is the most important one of all the reasons(原因). Some people show their feelings by the colors they choose. Generally speaking, dressing in black is a way to show our sadness.  For example, some fat people think wearing black clothes can make them look thinner. It's interesting that color can show a person s personality(个性).

    During different seasons, people choose clothes in different colors. In winter, people don't like washing, so they like to wear clothes in dark colors.  People like to wear warm colors in autumn and bright and new colors in spring. In summer people like the light colors best, so you can see most people in white.

    All people want their life to be filled with colors and comfort(舒适)by wearing clothes.
 

What do you know about manners(礼仪)? Different countries have 1manners. In 2Asian countries, it is good manners to take off your 3 before you go into a house. 4in European (欧洲的) countries, even if they sometimes become very ditty, this is not done. If you are a5in a Chinese house, when you have a meal, you usually do not6 the food. You often leave a little to7that you have had enough.     Jack's uncle lives in a village. This summer Jack went to stay with him. He  his holiday there. Every day they went out for a walk and his uncle  at everyone. Jack didn't  and asked, "Uncle George, do you know  around here?"

    "No," said his uncle.

    "Then why do you smile at them?" asked Jack.

    "Well, when I smile at someone, if he  me, he'll be happy. But when I smile at someone, even though he doesn't know me, he'll feel  and think, 'Who is that man? Why does he smile at me?' He'll think about these  all the way, and he will be  , too. So I give everyone happy  . I think nobody refuses the smiles."

    "I see, Uncle George Being kind to others is also being kind to  ," Jack said happily.

    As a walker,  can you make the roads safer?

     you cross the road, you must stop and look to each side. Look left, then right, and then look left again. Don't cross the road if you are not sure  the road is clear or not. Don't run  the road. It is dangerous.

If you see little children, old people, or blind people walking across the road, help  . cross the road. It's good to help others.

A: No I'm feeling much worse. . It tastes terrible. It makes me so tense (担心的). Do you think' m going to die?

B: No, Peter. Calm down and take more exercise. You just had the flu. .

A: But I hate to go to the hospital. .

B: Don t be afraid! You are the bravest boy. .
