    Jaden Smith was born on July 8, 1998. He is a kind actor, dancer and rapper. He is alsobeing the youngest son of superstar actor Will Smith. However, he is becoming more and more known for his own  and acting skills now.

    The Pursuit of Happiness《当幸福来敲门》was Jaden's first big role. He  his dad's son in the movie. Both Jaden and his dad received a lot of praise the movie was a success. Later in 2010, Jaden played with Jackie Chan in the movie The Karate Kid《功夫小子》.

    Good morning, everyone. Standing here, I know it's time to say goodbye. When I look back to the past three years, many beautiful rush to my mind. When I walk by classrooms, it seems that the lessons will stop. I can't forget the sunshine coming in the windows. I can't forget the library where I used to go. I can't forget tidy uniforms and lovely smiles. I'll remember the important people who helped and supported me—my teachers and my friends. These moments are so  that I feel like sharing them with you.

    A farmer had a friend and his friend was famous for growing wonderful apple trees.

    One day, the farmer's friend gave him a young apple tree and told him to take it home and plant it.

    The farmer loved the gift. But when he got home, he did not know where to plant it. He was afraid that if he planted the tree near the road, strangers would steal the apples. If he planted the tree in one of his fields, his neighbors would come at night and steal the apples. If he planted the tree near his house, his children would take the apples. Finally he planted the tree in his wood. Nobody could see it, but there was no sunlight in his wood, the tree soon died.

    Later, the friend asked the farmer why he planted the tree in such a poor place. "What's the difference?" the farmer said angrily. "If I plant the tree near the road, strangers may steal the apples. If I plant the tree in one of my fields, my neighbors may come at night and steal the apples. If I plant the tree near my house, my children may take the apples."

    "Yes," said the friend, "but at least someone could enjoy the apples. Now no one could eat the apples, and the apple tree died!"

    People are so busy these days that many people have no time to cook. This becomes a problem, because most families love home cooking! The food tastes good and warm, and a family meal brings everyone together. In some families, meals are often the only times everyone sees one another at the same time.

    Another reason people enjoy home cooking is that it is often a way of showing love. A parent who makes some cookies is not just satisfying (满足) a child's sweet tooth. She or he is sending a message. The message says, "I care about you enough to spend an hour making cookies that you will eat up in 15 minutes if I let you."

    There is also something about the smell of home cooking. The smell of home cooking pleases people of all ages. It makes most of us feel good and loved—even if we are the ones doing the cooking! Next time you smell a cake making, stop for a moment and pay attention to your mood (心情).

    Many students think it is too difficult to learn English well, though they know it is important.

    Firstly, A lot of people can't speak English well because they are afraid of making mistakes. But in order to improve your spoken English, you need to be brave and confident. Don't car e too much about the mistakes in your spoken English. Being able to express your ideas is the most important thing.

    Secondly, watch English movies. You can watch Hollywood movies like Spider-Man and Captain America. Listen to what they say carefully and try to understand the main ideas of the movies.

    Lastly, I know that students are tired nowadays and you always have to do exercises of different subjects. But practice makes perfect. Only by doing a lot of exercises can you get better English skills.

    Stress used to be an almost unknown word, but now that we are used to (talk) about it, I have found that people are beginning to get stressed about being stressed.
    In recent years, stress has been regarded as a cause of a whole range of medical problems, from high blood pressure to mental illness. But like so many other things, it is only too much stress that

(do) you harm. It is time you considered that if there were no stress in your life, you would achieve a little. If you are stuck at home with no stress, then your level of performance (be) low.     To some extent you can control the amount of stress in your life. Doctors (work) out a chart to show how much stress is involved in various events. Getting married is 50, pregnancy 40, moving house 20, Christmas 12, etc. If the total stress in your life is over 150, you are twice as likely

    At the moment, it may be difficult to imagine, but many people believe that, by the year 2100, we will live on the planet Mars (火星). Our own planet, Earth, is becoming more and more crowded and polluted. Luckily, we can start again and build a better world on Mars. Here is what life could be like.

    First of all, transport (交通) should be much better. By 2100, spaceship can travel at half the speed of light. It might take us two or three days to get to Mars.

Secondly, humans need food, water and air to live. Scientists should be able to develop plants that can be grown on Mars. These plants will produce the food and air that we need. However, can these plants produce water for us? There is no answer now.

There is a problem for us to live on Mars. Mars suck (吸引) us much less than Earth does. This will be dangerous because we could easily jump too high and fly slowly away into space. To prevent this, humans on Mars have to wear special shoes to make themselves heavier.

    There will probably be no school on Mars. Every student will have a computer at home which is connected to the Internet. They can study, do their homework and take exams in online schools. Each student will also have their own online teacher called "e-teacher".

    Life on Mars will be better than that on Earth in many ways. People will have more space. Many people believe that robots will do most of our work, so we have more time for our hobbies.

However, in some ways, life on Mars may not be better than that on Earth today. Food will not be the same—meals will probably be in the form of pills (片状物) and will not be as delicious as they are today. Also, space travel will make many people feel ill. The spaceship will travel fast but the journey to Mars will probably be very uncomfortable.
