There is an old saying that all of us are born with two bags hung on our necks. The small bag in the front is filled with other people's faults (缺点), while the big one at the back is full of our own faults.

This makes it easy to find other people's faults, but hard to see our own faults behind us.

A boy named Tommy had four friends: Simon, Jack, Johnny and Harry. He saw other people's faults very quickly. When Simon was impatient (不耐烦的) with him, he said to Simon: "It's so easy for you to get angry. It is hard to be friends with you."

Later that day, Tommy told his mother about Jack's dishonesty (不诚实). "Jack often takes my things without asking." Tommy himself did not like sharing his things with anyone.

When Johnny was too tired to play with him, he said: "You are such a rude(粗鲁的) person." He thought Harry was proud(骄傲) of his rich parents. At last, he had few good friends.

If only Tommy would turn the bags around, he would find his own impatience, dishonesty, bad manners and vanity (虚荣). They were no better than that of Simon, Jack, Johnny or Harry.

    1. (1) According to the story, the bag filled with our own faults is hung _______.
A . on our heads B . in the front C . at the back D . in our arms
    2. (2) Tommy found the following in his front bag EXCEPT _______.
      A . dishonesty B . patience C . rudeness D . vanity
    3. (3) If we divide the passage into three parts, which of the following is the best?

      (①=Para.(自然段)1 ②=Para.2 ③=Para.3 ④=Para.4 ⑤=Para.5 ⑥=Para.6)

      A . ①; ②③④; ⑤⑥ B . ①; ②③④⑤; ⑥ C . ①②; ③④; ⑤⑥ D . ①②; ③④⑤; ⑥
    4. (4) What can you learn from the story?
A . We should always find other people's faults. B . We should always "turn our bags around" to see our own faults. C . It's not easy for us to find our own faults, so we should not care about them. D . When you find other people's faults, you are helping them to be better people.

How healthy are your teeth? Are you lazy about brushing them? Now a new electric toothbrush (电动牙刷) can help you know how long and how well you brush.

The Kolibree toothbrush was shown at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. It shows how it is moved and that it can send the information to an Android phone or iPhone.

The toothbrush will be able to teach you to brush right (don't forget the insides of the teeth!) and make sure you're brushing long enough. "It's kind of like having a dentist watch you brushing," says Thomas Serval, the French inventor.

The toothbrush will also be able to talk to other APPs on your phone, so developers could, for example, make a game controlled (控制) by your toothbrush. You could get points for beating monsters (怪物) while brushing your teeth. "We try to make it smart but also fun," Serval says.

Why did Serval invent the toothbrush? He says this idea is from his experience as a father. Every day, he asked his kids if they brushed their teeth after he came home from work. They said "yes," but Serval always found their toothbrush heads dry. He decided he needed a brush that really told him how well his children brushed.

The company says the Kolibree will be on sale this summer, for $99 to $199. The U.S. is the first market.

A . help the user find his phone B . help the user know how well he brushes C . teach the user to brush right D . send the teeth information to an iPhone

A . You will find it great to see a dentist.  B . You should see your dentist every day. C . You'd like a dentist to watch you brush.   D . The Kolibree toothbrush is just like a dentist.
    3. (3) Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?
A . Serval invented the toothbrush to make money at first. B . The Kolibree toothbrush is smart but not fun for kids. C . Serval's children didn't want to brush their teeth at home. D . People can buy the Kolibree at low prices in China this summer.
