Chengdu has a beautiful name, the City of fog (雾都) in China. Do you know1? Because there is much fog around the city2morning. In the morning, some people go to work3car. In Chengdu, there are8places of interest every year, many people come here for their9. It's really a busy and beautiful10.
Mr and Mrs. Green have a son, Tom. They love him very much. Tom is only three years old. He likes asking questions.
One day Mr. Green is sitting in a chair. He is reading a book and he has a banana in his hand. He likes to eat one while (当…时候) reading. Tom comes in. He asks Mr Green, "Daddy, what's that?" Mr Green is interested in the book. He doesn't hear Tom. Tom shakes (摇晃) his father's leg and asks again, "What's this? Tell me!"

In junior high school (初中) in America, kids study English, writing, math, science, biology (生物), music and art.
At 12 o'clock, the students eat lunch at school. They have meat, vegetables, fruit, bread and a drink, but they like hot dogs and hamburgers best. American kids like sugar, and after the meal they can have a small piece of cake. Students sleep for a short time after lunch. They begin classes at 1:30 in the afternoon. They go to school on weekdays (工作日) and have classes for six hours every day and then go home.
Parents let their kids play or watch TV until dinner at 6:00 p. m. After dinner, they do their homework. Sometimes kids and their parents have a family activity after dinner.
Most of us like animals. Sometimes we go to the zoo to see animals. They can make us happy.
Some people often think they can teach the animals to work for them. In our life we may see elephants, tigers, dogs or some other animals doing a lot of things for people. Elephants can carry large logs (木头), because they are strong, Dogs can look after houses. And people can also teach the animals to work in the factory. Now people are trying to get the animals to do many other things.
There are many kinds of ants (蚂蚁) in America. One kind of ants is very strong. People are afraid of them and the other animals are afraid of them, too.
These ants are often in big groups (群). They eat all the animals on their way. They can kill and eat elephants. And they can eat horses, too. Sometimes they can even kill people and eat them. When the ants come near, people leave their homes. But people are sometimes happy after the ants pass by. Because they can see no insects (昆虫) or snakes (蛇).
