About five or six years ago I went to London for the first time. It was in the summer holidays and I went with my 1 .It was quite expensive by plane or train, so we 2 to travel by coach(长途汽车). We left at five in the morning and the 3 took about sixteen hours. We stayed in London for three days, in a youth hotel not far from the city centre. My friends and I 4 a big room on the top floor. The beds were not very comfortable and the bathroom was very small, 5 it had a wonderful view overlooking the River Thames.
While we were in London we went to a lot of places. On the first day, we went to see all the main sights(名胜), 6 Big Ben, Piccadilly Circus, and Buckingham Palace. On the second day, we went shopping on Oxford Street. On the 7 day, my friends and I went to Camden Market. You can buy all kinds of jewelry and clothes there. I bought a silver 8 for my sister. It was really sunny in the afternoon, so we went to watch a football game. Unluckily, I think the ring fell out of 9 pocket during the game, and I had to buy another one.
I really enjoyed visiting London, although the youth hotel was not 10 . Next time, I will stay at a wonderful hotel, but I guess I will never feel as excited as I did that first time.

Your horse Shannon looks beautiful. I also want to live on a farm like you and learn to ride horses. It must be interesting to ride through the beautiful countryside. I have pictured myself in that situation as many times. Your sisters are also lovely. I am the only child in my family, and sometimes I feel very lonely.
Life in New York is so busy and it is difficult to find the time to get to know people. Even becoming close to my classmates is quite difficult. However, sometimes it can be the most fantastic city in the world. At night it is so bright.
I love reading too! But I have never read any books by your favorite author Enid Blyton. I will have to go to the library in my neighborhood and find some. I also enjoy dancing and have dance class every Thursday and Saturday. My other favorite hobby is skating. In winter, I like to skate in Central Park.

Myfamily and I have visited our friend, Dennis, in Chicago several times insummer, but we hardly visited him in winter. It's December now, and here we arein Chicago. We have been here for two weeks. It's much colder in Chicago thanin New Orleans at this time of year.
Thiswinter has been very cold. It has snowed a lot and people have had trouble withtheir cars. Last night, it snowed again. Now there is 60cm of snow on theground. This has been fun for me, but Dennis didn't have fun this morning whenhis car got stuck（抛锚） in snow. Schoolshave closed because students can't get to school. Many people have stayedinside.
Accordingto Dennis, spring and fall are lovely seasons here. In the spring time, everythingcomes alive. People seem happy and spend more time outside. The sun shinesalmost every day. Dennis says that the leaves turn orange, yellow and red inthe fall. The weather is still warm and comfortable. People drive to thecountry in order to see the fall colors. This is our friend's favorite season.
Summeris a good season in the north-central part of the United States, too. Our lastvisit was in the summer time. It was hot, but there were fun things to do. Wewent on picnics, swam a lot and had parties in Dennis' backyard.
People'slives change with the weather. My life would be different in Chicago. I'm gladthat I don't live here. Dennis likes Chicago, but he doesn't like its winter, either.
As more and more children become obese(肥胖的),schools in the US are trying to encourage students to become more active and make healthier food choices. In Dillwyn, Viginia, the educators built an "active" green school to deal with student obesity.
The school appears to be just like any other beautiful school. However, if you look closer, you will notice that the students are always moving. In the classrooms, students are wriggling(扭动)on the seats. During breaks, you'll find students rushing out for a 10-minute physical activity break.
But physical activity alone is not enough; food intake(摄取量)is also important. The school has an open kitchen. It allows students to watch the food as it is being prepared and make healthier choices. A teaching kitchen allows kids to experiment (做实验)with different recipes(食谱).And a working laboratory allows them to do food science experiments. There is also a school garden where students and even family members can grow vegetables tegether.
So is the "active" green school working? The results are not out yet, but parents and teachers think that the kids seems to be a lot happier.

I had a great time on my trip to Canada. I went with two (teacher) and all my classmates.

We had a rock climbing lesson just before our picnic lunch and later afternoon we arrived at a lake. There we camped for the night. I helped build the fire. Two of the older students cooked dinner.
