Last summer, we climbed mountains in the countryside. On the top of the mountains, we enjoyed cool1 blowing quietly near our ears. We2white clouds walking freely in the sky and colorful insects (昆虫)flying happily in the air.
We were happy to3wild flowers, fruits and beautiful butterflies. I enjoyed the blue sky and the green mountains. Suddenly a little insect flew into my left4. It made too much noise that I felt5. So I put my hands on my ears to stop the air from going into my ears. My friends helped me find some6to get the insect out, but they didn't work.
“The insect must get7in the mountains. It happened to (碰巧) fly into your ear,”a little girl said.“I've got an idea.”
She took me to a dark place, and put her hand on my right ear.8she used a torch (手电筒) to light my left ear. In the torch light, the insect flew out of my left ear. I felt well slowly.
Maybe we needn't9about the insects that flew into our ears.10some light to them, and they will fly to the light.

Do you know the book The Rough Patch? It is a new book by US writer Brian Lies. Kids love it because of the wonderful story and beautiful pictures in it.
Evan, a fox, lives with his dog. They do everything together. They play, read and eat. Their favorite thing is working in Evan's garden. In the garden, plants grow big and beautiful. But friends don't always stay together forever. One day, Evan's dog dies. Evan is very sad because he loses his best friend. Every time he goes to the garden, he thinks of his dead dog. He can't stop his tears running. Feeling lost and angry, Evan destroys (摧毁) his garden.
A good place will not stay empty for long. New plants quietly start to grow. One day, Evan finds a small pumpkin vine (南瓜藤) in his garden. He becomes happy again. He starts to look after it and taking care of the new plant gets him out of the sadness. Autumn comes and there is a very big pumpkin on the vine. It is fair (集市) week. Evan takes his big pumpkin to the fair. He meets his old friends there. He enjoys many delicious foods. Best of all, his big pumpkin wins him a prize: 10 dollars or a baby dog. What does Evan choose? What is an egg? Birds and fish give birth to many babies at one time. They can do this by laying (产) many eggs. The baby birds or the baby fish stay in eggs until they are ready to be born. What do eggs look like? When you make a fried egg, you can see a yellow part and a white part. The yellow part of the egg becomes a chick. The chick eats the white part until it comes out of the egg.
What is a fruit? Why do plants have fruits? A fruit is the house of seeds (种子). Plants grow flowers to make fruits. Fully grown fruits fall down. Then, the seed grow root (根) under the ground. What happens next? Another plant grows! Usually seeds grow inside of a fruit, but strawberry seeds grow outside of the fruit.
