Last month we asked our students about their free time activities. Our questions were about exercise, use of the Internet and watching TV. Here are the 1
We 2that only fifteen percent of our students exercise every day. Forty-five percent exercise four to six times a week. Twenty percent exercise only one to three times a week. And twenty percent do not exercise 3.
We all know that many students often go on line, but we were 4that ninety percent of them use the Internet every day. 5ten percent use it at least three or four times a week. Most students use it for fun and not for homework.
The answer to our questions about 6 were also interesting. Only two percent of the students watch TV one to three times a week. Thirteen percent watch TV four to six times a week. And eighty-five percent watch TV every day! 7 many students like to watch sports, game shows are the most popular.
It is good to relax by using the Internet or watching game shows, but we think the best way to 8 is through exercise. It is 9 for the mind and the body. Exercise 10 playing sports is fun, and you can spend time with your friends and family as you play together. And remember, "old habits die hard". So start exercising before it's too late!
There was a very rich man named Mike. In his house, he had a very large room. "If anyone can fill my room in one day, I will give him 20,000 dollars." he said. Everyone in the town wanted to have a try.

Then, he went to the park and played all day. His friend asked him, "Why are you playing, you should be working." The man said, "Don't worry." At 8:00 at night, the man came to the room with a small bag. The rich man said, "That bag is too small. How will you fill the room?" The man took a candle out of the bag. He lit the candle and said, "You see, the whole room is filled with light!"

Jane is an 8-year-old student in the United States. American Teenager magazine asked her about her habits. Jane has a lot of good habits. She always exercises and she reads books every day. Also, she usually drinks juice and she hardly ever stays up late. However, she has some bad habits, too. She always watches TV for more than two hours a day, and she sometimes eats hamburgers. Her parents are not very happy because she hardly ever helps with housework and she never goes to the dentist for teeth cleaning. She says she is afraid. |
